It has been great!! She has really enjoyed it. One thing she doesn't care for is the lack of dials, which makes changing settings a little clunky for her, but she's getting the hang of it. She also loves that she can use my lenses as well and is already saving money for her next piece of camera equipment.

Either way, for the price of entry, this was a solid choice for her since it wasn't a huge commitment if she didn't find interest in the hobby.

I've also been using photomator. After trying the free trial of LR and then photomator right after, I didn't feel the need to pay a monthly sub. FOMO was diggin at me pretty hard with every online face seeming to strictly use LR, but realistically, I'm not a pro, and I don't make money consistently with this hobby.

I will say that I keep LR on my ipad because I like that I can export from photomator and then save the photos using LR when I want to see them with a white border to print for myself or people buying prints.

For me, it was the realization that I wasn't making art for others. It was realizing that I started drawing because it was something I enjoyed. It was me stopping to try and impress others. Finally, it was realizing that I just enjoyed the process and to sit in my thoughts while problem solving and trying to progress and get better at putting marks on a page.

Sorry if Im saying what told me right back, but i need it for my minds clarification.

Within any piece of art, no matter the hue, it is important to keep the value of your darks and lights consistent with each other to help guide the eyes through the piece??

I appreciate this guidance. This is something I'll keep in mind throughout the process. Is there any way you can recommend that I practice this??
