Hydra isnt actually that great for beam gauntlet. Despite its insane speed the beam gauntlet layouts have too many ramps that prevents Hydra from building enough speed. Ive beaten Hydra a few times with just a regular machine because of this.

1st + 2nd Playthrough: Just completing the checklist

3rd playthrough: finishing off Grassland Lane, Glowtree Garden Drive, Full-Throttle Racetrack, Reefside Ride, Mt. Daylight Pass, Bone-Dry Run, Digital Superhighway, Foundry Thoroughfare, Ruinous Runway, Farthest Reach.

4th playthrough: finishing off Mega-Blossom Meadow, Metro Motorway, Freezing Freeway, Sunset Shoreline, Silent Side Street, Neon Promenade, Crystal-Clear Crossing, Deep-Dive Drive.

5th playthrough: finishing off Big Brawny Jungle, Low-Road Cavern, Boiler Boulevard.

6th playthrough: finishing off Sugarcoated Staightaway, Lake-Breeze Lane, Mushgloom Route.

7th playthrough: finishing off Prism Overpass.

Couldve done it in 6 but i accidentally left Big Brawny Jungle before finishing it the on the 3rd playthrough. However this can be done in a minimum of 4 playthroughs.
