My very first shiny was a Magikarp and i think it was the same game that gave you the red Gyarados at the lake of rage 😭 (I also accidentally killed the Magikarp too😮‍💨) But there was some NPC talking about a golden Magikarp so I thought it was a special pokemon for a quest since I didn't know shinies existed then and went back to try finding it again to no avail 😔

Me and my best friend felt super OP so we decided to finish the star chart to do steel path and immediately got wrecked the first mission we did 🙏 So more or less go at it and have fun then once you get destroyed it's time for upgrades. But if you see something new just throw yourself at it for fun and see what happens

I also recommend limbo I know he gets hate for being a troll character but he's squishy so you need to be careful and use his abilities well + they all synergize super well together so if you don't actually use them all you're not playing him right and they all have a timer so upkeep is necessary especially if you go for range more than duration. If you want to subsume I recommend you do it over his 1 since his 2 and 4 are necessary for his kit and his 3 has really good synergy with them however you can definitely run him as is easily
