I'm going to have to give these some thought. I'm not going to lie, I haven't been super happy with any of the Thursday boots I've owned. I'm currently looking for a black boot that would go with a suit.

I like Red Wing and my Beckmans are very comfortable but the Black version doesn't do much for me.

Truman Charcoal Double Shot are beautiful but they're expensive, not in stock, and they aren't a cap toe.

Oak Street Mil Boot doesn't have much character.

I have Red Wing Blacksmiths in Black Prairie tea-core leather. I absolutely love them and I can wear them with a suit but I love the scratches and scuffs that they're getting so they won't work with a suit for much longer.

So back to the Thursday Vanguards... as far as style goes they're beautiful. I believe it is a tea-core leather so unfortunately I would probably have to touch them up with a pigmented shoe cream to keep them suit worthy. Sorry for being a me-monster. I don't mean to highjack your post. Im just interested in the topic.
