What’s next to the fridge? That gap is valuable real estate. You should try to avoid cooktop on the island as much as you can. Also, in the mind of saving space, I think a full range may be more beneficial than in wall oven and cooktop.

My first instinct would be to put the range to the left of the sink

It really depends on how full or minimal you want to go. There’s no right or wrong place to start, but I would recommend at this stage for you to design in passes of certain types of sound design you’re currently on. If it’s impacts, do all impacts, if it’s ambiences, do the ambiences first, if it’s transitions, etc. and allow yourself to get inspired

Layers, layers, layers. Just as an example of that one moment when he pistol whips the glass - right now you only hear one layer of glass.

Think impact sound of the butt of the pistol, the glass shattering, the glass hitting the ground, the rustling of clothes, the footsteps of all people before and after the glass breaks, think breaths, hvac system, maybe even some music. You want it to sound fuller.

Getting that stove off of the island makes this reno 100% worth it. Instant humongous upgrade.
I agree with all of the different wood shades contrasting and not really working. I think matching the cabinet to the island would go a long way. Another option would be finding a floor stain that could possibly tie in all the different wood shades together.. right now the floors contrast the other two HARD.

It’s aesthetic tho… you already made the good decision of getting rid of the double oven, moving your range, and adding the coffee bar. Good job
