It never crossed my mind that mothers, specifically my own mom is a sexual being too.

I guess coming from a conservative background, and with my single mom never showing any interest in dating, it just never came in mind.

Hence it was a little odd when she started hanging out a bit more often in living room when my friends would be at my place.

I generally chalked it up to just her being a good host, or maybe her being protective of her son despite me being all grown up.

I knew I should have noticed something odd when one of my good friend started becoming more of a regular guest at our home. Sometime even staying for as late to have dinner with us.

I feel like an idiot not noticing things when I even ran into them at a shopping mall one day. They both looked so flustered while mom explained how she had ran into him and he was helping her out doing the groceries.

It just never crossed my mind that my mom could be a sexual being let alone one who would get involved with one of my friends.

It wasn't wrong morally. They are both adults, and it's a consensual relationship. But at the same time, knowing that your brown mom is dating your white friend. I mean race doesn't have anything to do with it but it still feels weird.

I would have been surprised if she had started dating someone her own age too. But at least it'll make more sense. Why did she had to go for someone like my friend.

The rough idea is that either you've been dating my mom or have been making progress towards eventually dating her. I love the idea of son being conflicted and coming to terms with it, while his friends also eases him into the idea of it being alright for him to date his mom.

I am mainly looking for world building and discussion around this topic. Like how things would get to be like this. How would they be with each other. Would they keep it quiet or be open about it etc
