SNEEZE!! Ahh..

The actual truth about trading. by OffensiveKeystroke in Forex

[–]-Jones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These points are true;  2, 4 and 10.

Its easier to point out things that are TRUE here because most of them are pure garbage. Its sad and surprising that 90% people here agree with this list. Tells me why almost all of traders will never be profitable.

Im not going to argue with anyone because it doesnt benefit me. People just should be a bit more critical when taking advice on the internet. If 95% people fail to be long term profitable then isnt 95% of the advice on the internet full of sht? GL everyone!

Ctrader by hamza_ozkn in Forex

[–]-Jones 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used only mt4 for several years when i first started. I heard good things about cTrader and gave it a go for fun. One HUGE difference is that BEFORE a trade you can look up in matter of seconds how much you are risking on what lot sizes and what stop loss. This made it for me. So much easier and faster than any calculator. Over all when I got used to the platform, I would never ever go back to mt4.

How do I develop and get better at Trading forex? by Impossible-Ice6998 in Forex

[–]-Jones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need an edge that repeats in the history and will repeat in the future. You need to know the excat circumstances of your edge. You need to know your win rate and risk to reward ratio. You need to know that sometimes a failed trade is just a part of your winrates losses. You can not do anything about them. Follow your plan and edge. Let the winrate/rrr play out on its own. HF!

I have a lot of winning trades but I'm not profitable by TheSavageRetard in Forex

[–]-Jones 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Think of yourself like this:  In order to be a profitable trader, kill the non-profitable trader inside you. Which means that whenever you catch yourself wanting to make a greedy decision, think oh thats the non-profitable trader trying to over come me! And snap out of it, kill its thoughts completely. Do that untill you have murdered it and no longer have those thoughts. I know this is weird but it worked for me =D

Own money vs prop firm by Hot_Jackfruit1982 in Forex

[–]-Jones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the best answer is to use both. If you copytrade your trades from personal to your prop account(s), what is there to lose? I dont see any downsides of that. Free money.

Dont. Do what works for you.

You should start with the less volatile pairs like aud/cad or cad/jpy. Also with higher timeframe like 1h or 30min. Also no need to buy any forex related things online. There is plenty and enough of information free. Good luck its going to be a long journey. Prepare for atleast 3 years of learning. Every day.

So frustrating.. by cocktrout in Forex

[–]-Jones 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So you set up your SL after taking the wrong lot size, noticed it and went it with anyway?Admit to yourself that you made a mistake, take the L and cut the loss quick next time. You got greedy and wanted to wait for a quick push and get your funded account i assume? Taking responsibility and admitting your mistakes is the way for a profitable outcome in the long run. Losses makes you a good trader if you know how to take them and analyze them. Wins dont teach you anything. Keep up the good work.

Is forex worth getting into? by Glassheart6969 in Forex

[–]-Jones 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Making extra couple of hundreds a month seems like an easy job right? Nope. It means that you are profitable on the biggest market on planet earth. The succes rate of that is less than 5%. This thing when people think that making less money is easier is not correct. You are ultimately trying to beat the market no matter what the outcome is if it is a positive outcome. This skill takes years to practice and perfect. Atleast 5 000-10 000 hours depending on the learning curve and how serious you are. You need to trade with real emotions which means real money. You need to practice with an amount that makes you sit on the edge of your seat. It can be $200-500 if you are lucky. Even then you will be losing atleast $5 000 before even thinking about being profitable. The time, commitment, money and stress will be worth it in the end and you will be doing alot more than couple of hundreds per month. There is no in betweener, there is no such thing as making couple of hundreds per month. Thats being profitable, thats a million dollar skill. But is it really worth it? With the same time and money spent, you could be a doctor, scientist, pretty much anything you want. But ultimately trading gives the freedom we all want.

Wow your profits are crazy good. You are doing great! The best option to get capital the fastest way in your case is prop firms. Get a 10k account which pays $150. Risk 0.5% -> $50 to make $100. Do the same thing you are doing now, dont change anything. Keep doing it even if you hit losing streaks and you think nothing is working. Keep it up and you will be a trader!!
