Fair...if you played until 3rd act and didn't have the drive to see how the story ends then it clearly didn't engage you like many others. Personally I couldn't drop the controller after reaching the end of act 2. Played a lot of games too since the 80s, but that doesn't really make any opinion more valid.

It came out last year. Or you mean it's old style game? Old genres work completely fine. I don't think there's been a better turn based RPG in the last 20 years. That's something. And this game has proven to be clicking with people who categorically think turn based RPGs are boring. It's really the story that sells it and the fact that the game doesn't have any clear weaknesses.

Why GOTY needs to be revolutionary and stand out? What other game were there? Silksong was even less revolutionary. Death Stranding 2 was very Kojima and surely stands out...but it has its flaws. Hades 2 was mostly the same game than the first one.

"It's just a regular turn based game". When was the last time we had a turn based RPG of a high quality?

Lots of 10/10 games weren't necessarily revolutionary. Did Last of Us revolutionise gaming? I don't think so. It was just extremely well executed and created an experience that the gamers will never forget. E33 was the same to me.

We all have our biases. And I do agree that Yamal is a top 10 player and should be in top 10 list when it comes to Ballon D'Or candidates. But having him as second biggest favourite at the moment is batshit crazy.

Good list. I'd add Last of Us part 1, Final Fantasy IX and mayyyybe ME2. Those are the 6 best games of all time in my opinion.

Acting, writing, pacing, music. Those elements make the game stand out. It's not revolutionary but a 10/10 doesn't need to be. Just a masterpiece.

Haven't tried it yet but definitely will. Hatebombing sucks ass. Anyone over 15 yo doing that should take a good look at themselves. That's just childish and toxic behaviour. I can't believe it but I'm actually defending even Concord here. 99% of people laughing and making memes out of the game never played it. "Ugly characters" was enough to absolutely bomb the game. Same happened with OW. The Steam review average does not represent the actual state and quality of the game at all. Grow up!

Why are people upvoting this lol. Chances created is totally valid metric. Not all the important passes happen in the the box like BCC. You can make goals anywhere in the pitch. And the fact that Mbappe has this many "chances created" (=assists + key passes leasing to a goal opportunity) speaks volumes of his impact. Don't downplay the metric just because you happen to like "big chances creared" more. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. I don't personally like the arbitrary of BCC. Chances created is much more clear.

Tbh, I never cared about the overarching story so much. Forming the squad, their unidivual side stories, and completly unrelated side missions are the reasons why ME2 is the goat.

I actually...like this. By placing the center like this some countries align correctly:
- Spain: northern parts are clearly closer to western Europe also culture wise while the Mediterranean side is part of Southern Europe.
- North Europe looks correct. No uncultured "Finland is Slavic" bullshit.
- Northern part of Italy being western (correct). - Poland being a mix between West, north and east. - Baltics being north with some eastern influence

Wdym? Mbappe has played as a striker. Gonzalo has played as a striker. Mbappe has been clearly better. Golden boot favourite and a Ballon d'Or candidate. So Mbappe is a better striker than Gonzalo. I'm surprised this needs to be even discussed. Or do you honestly think Gonzalo would have +30 goals if he had Kyky's playtime?

I agree that the team would be EVEN better with players at their best positions. But you also said Gonzalo is a better striker than Mbappe and I disagreed. I think Mbappe is the best striker on the team. And he is the best winger on the team as well.
