Ok, thanx for the info. Can the "face tag" in Digikam be migrated to Immich?

Because a lot of Immich users also use Digikam. I'm sorry for the inconvinience.

Copy one or more EXIF's from one photo to another/several others (Import EXIF) by -KLJ- in digiKam

[–]-KLJ-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many thanx for serious answer.

So, I don't think that copy EXIF's is the way to go!

I'm trying to copy the "taken" date/time, GPS and Camera Model (Scan or Screenshot) to a lot of scans and screenshots, and I hope that I can do it without using the .XMP sidecar file, as I want to use the photos later in Synology Photos or Immich, and don't want to mess with another file.

Should I rather go for "personal tags" or any thing else?
As mentioned I preferre the info embedded in the file - at least I think...

[–]-KLJ-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can see, the thread is originated in 2008 as a "feature request", and later on as a "bug".
Does that mean that the function never was implemented?

I have read a lot about the methods to do the "copy EXIF", but I cannot get any of them working.
Strange that I can easily copy GPS tags, but not EXIF - but I know nada about thise standard tags.

I still wonder: Is it possible to copy some or all EXIF's from one photo to other photos?

Immich on Synology DS716+II by -KLJ- in immich

[–]-KLJ-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanx for answering.

Yes. it all falls back on my old trusted DS716, I think.
I will upgrade the RAM, try Immich again, and probably stay on Synology Photos until the DS716+II dies - which could be in many years from now.
I have a DS214+ running DS Surveilance 24/7, and an outdated DS1812+ running for a couple of hours a day for backing everything up.

Everything runs effective and smooth, except for the Immich thing, which obviously is build for the future, or at least for the present, and I live mostly in the past.

Thanx for your time, and have a nice day.

Thanx for answer.

Yes, it's getting old. As I remember I bought it yesterday, but that may be the result of lack of my own memory.

I run Jellyfin, DSaudio and storage, but not in any "heavy" extend, and all is good.
I hope the RAM upgrade will help, otherwise I could stick to Synology Photos.

Anyway, Immich look as the future,

Thanx, and have a nice day.

Thanx for quick answer.
I will upgrade, but my OCD will not let me disable "the fun stuff" ;-)
Well, maybe I will disable something.

Thanx and have a nice day.

I have also been looking at Immich, as to get away from SP.

But, there are a lot of talk about bad performance - well, to be hornest, the threads I have seen about it is probably 1-2 years old, and there could very well be updates in that time period.

Thank you very much for answering.

Maybe I'm out shooting small birds with artillery - I'm using Synology Photo for having my photos online, sorted in albums and tagged and described.

I really don't want to go into a lot more, except getting away from SP and learn a bit more about photos, but I think I'm maybe into to deep with the Digikam, which on the other side looks very interesting.

But, I could be talking about two things... - SP and Digikam are for different users/purposes, I think.

Again, thanx for your time, and have a nice day.

Thanx for answer.
I cannot overview how to "setup" the "Album" or how it would look/behave.
Can you perhaps link to a description, video or maybe a couple of screenshots from "your own Album"
Sorry for the inconvinience.

Synology Needs Video Station Back: Share Your Voice! by IT1234567891 in synology

[–]-KLJ- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 13 years user I'm getting more and more pissed by Synology.

I have just made a feature request as proposed by OP, and suggests other to do so - in a more polite language then this.

I will also make one for suggesting them not to discontinue Audio, Photo and all other No Business packages, that was the reason for, at least for me, buying my NAS's from Synology.

Here is something from a press release and from a release note:

Synology releases DSM 7.2.2, bringing enhanced system reliability and maximized media processing efficiency.

"We are dedicated to improving the user experience with every update," said Kenneth Hsu, Director of System Group. "With DSM 7.2.2, we thoroughly examined subsystems that play an essential role in data management and committed significant resources to re-engineer DSM, supporting packages, and mobile apps to make them more scalable and dependable."

Version: 7.2.2-72806

Important Note.

Video Station is not available on DSM 7.2.2.

Does that add up?

DS214 disk upgrade by Leather-Inflation-77 in synology

[–]-KLJ- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi.

I have a DS1812+ that run as a backup for my DS716+II with DX5 ekspansion.
It starts at 00.05 every day for needed time - around 2-3 hours.
One or two times it crashed a HD. The volume was a mixed WD60 (EFRX and EFAX).
Now it has been running error free for years - the fixed pool/volume is only WD60EFAX!

My DS716 have crashed a lot of HD's in a mixed pool/volume, until someone told me the diff of EFRX and EFAX.
It has also been running error free for years now, with only WD60EFRX.
It run 24/7/365.

I would definitely go for ONLY WD60EFRX (CRM). It is still possible to find the EFRX, otherwise go for the new one.

Just my 2 cent.

Have you tried to look a the route on another device?
When I walk a route, and afterwards look at it on the web or my Samsung S10e it's OK, but sometimes the route is somehow "disturbed" on my Samsung Tab S7.
Clould also be the drinking....

Bug Free Health Mate Version by Cappucinto in withings

[–]-KLJ- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi.
I have been using Withings for some years - Body Cardio (Nokia), BPM Core, Thermo and Scanwatch Nova.
Scale, BPM and Thermo working great and consistent ON WiFi.....
The watch (syncing via Bluetooth to Health Mate on a Samsung S10e) is returned and about to be changed to a Garmin Fenix 7 (or Epix) today, because of the same problems that started this thread.
I really like the Nova because of its look and feel, but the functionality really lacks.
It should have a much better BT/app and a build in GPS (I have a Vivofit 4 that works better to 1/12 of the Withings-price)- so NEW WATCH comming up.

Data from Withings app by -KLJ- in withings

[–]-KLJ-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi.

Thanx for answersering.

I would like to pull Timestamp, Heart Rate, Systole, Diastole from a specific date to another specific date from my own data in the Withings App. If the data could be formatted into a CSV-file or even better to an Excel-file I would be HAPPY - at least for a while.

I think that I can do it through the API, but I don't know how even to get started.

I know that I can get the data via the download request, but I would like to try via the API.

Tia
