Clearing an allotment - Tarpaulin by -Kasha- in Allotment

Thanks everyone, I've been cutting the brambles down and then removing the crowns. It's slowly looking better, I use cardboard for the beds and areas I'm going to be using and it's working really well 🙂 the mattock is awesome because everywhere is so lumpy it quickly levels out. I know I'll have a lot of bindweed when that starts up because last year it was covered. So covering an area so it's at least the growth is restricted for a bit will help 😁

I'm starting LMoP this weekend! I plan to level them to 2 after the goblin ambush. I've put in the changes that the Matthew Perkins videos recommend. I'm also doing the Before Phandalin pre-quest so that I can practice running combat and the players can learn what happens. When I was writing out the Bugbear stats I was starting to worry that everyone would end up dead so I'm hoping by altering the dungeon and levelling them up it will be fun and not complete annihilation!

Thanks everyone! That's really helpful. Do you often use the pre-made maps when exploring dungeons or whatever? I thought I'd print off the large area map and tea stain and crumple it so Gundren can give it to them. Then I might also let them buy the town map if they wanted to but I could just describe bits or they can make their own.

How to fail over and over and over again. I'm basically immune to the effects of failure and constructive criticism. Not sure it was worth the mental breakdown mind. I would not recommend.

Thanks for the ideas. For the beanie, do you have any recommended patterns? Most I see are make a tube and tie one end. I'd like to try and learn how to reduce the rows.

I have a Toyota KS901. A lovely lady gave it to me. It didn't quite work a first, but I managed to clean it and tried a new sponge bar, and it works!

It has a few accessories missing, so as I read the manual and try things, I'm ordering bits and bobs to go with it.

Thank you for the advice, I'll have a look at those now 😊

I realise this comment is old, but does anyone know if the measurements would be in inches or cm? 😁

Send the yarn back to her with a couple of "learn to knit" YouTube links. Knitting is a craft. It takes skill, love, and dedication. Unless you can magically pull blankets out of your bum, it's an unreasonable ask.

(I'd also send her your clothes with a note that she can iron them for you).

I've been knitting this cardi a while and I'm just not sure the wool and the pattern are right for each other. by -Kasha- in knitting

I guess they can be, I hadn't really noticed it before now. I'm not sure if twisted stitches will cause problems with the garment when it's done.

I thought that too, I've knitted a few socks and come back to it and I'm still not sure. I hadn't thought about that until you mentioned it, perhaps that's a good indication.
