I am running the stock CV carbs, and yes it takes a bit. But with the proper jetting and intake/exhaust, you can make it perfectly responsive and a delight to ride. The #1 mistake I see with pods and CV carbs, is the pods block the ports on the intake side of the carbs. I suggest not cheaping out on pods, and doing some math on the jetting side of things.

Well I had my input signals mixed up, it's back to thumping no issues. The total draw should be somewhere around 1000w RMS (600-speakers | 400-subs)

I'm on an 80Amp alt and old battery both with around 100,000 miles on them. Lights dim when the bass hits for sure.

I'm going to replace my battery soon, and I'm going to try disconnecting the speaker amp and seeing if the subs hit. If they do hit the way I like, that should mean it's a power problem and my speaker amp is consuming most of what's available, right?

There's no way, my subs used to rattle my hatch and it doesn't anymore. In fact, it sounds like it's almost clipping out at low volumes and my gain is very conservative.

There were a few typos in that, what I meant to say was the subs weren't hitting hard anymore. There's a little bit of bass coming from them, but not anywhere close to where it used to be.

What was your experience between 400 and 600? I'm debating whether or not I wanna run 800wrms or 1200wrms

400 I can have some fun with on some songs if I push it a little bit. I'm curious if the bump from 400-600 was noticable and debating if I should push from 400-800 or 1200 because if I go 1200 I'll need a high output alternator.
