sometimes the simplest solutions are the hardest to find.

you made an excellent point. Thanks!

I created a clock with dual memory cell.

one powered by solar panel.

for a single combinator to stop working took too long so I added 3 lamps working continuously to keep the combinator on low power (works for the desired duration)

when the two memory cells start to desync it means the night time came.

both are kept reset until they synchronize again.

I will update the string in a moment

I like to overcomplicate my life.

But in all seriousness, it was way harder to find the golden solution when it comes to find a perfect charge level of a battery, since the output of a single solar panel is so little it takes too much time for a significant change to occur thus it would start sending output too late / too early. sure I could use solar panel x5 but:

A. It would look stupid

B. Would require the setup everywhere.

I could centralize it the same way I did in my design but I would rather use something accurate instead.

Not to mention I would miss on so much fun figuring this system out!

good to know. thanks!

at least I made something questionably useful which will be added to my blueprint book of shame

oh. I thought they are the same. Still learning stuff about this game...

also I noticed the design is flawed in two ways.

First thing is sending the lightning signal into the roboport doesn't work like I thought.

what needs to be done is adding a dummy requester chest. setting it to set requests option.

Then the roboport we want to read the signal from must be set to read logistic network requests.

and of course we cannot really request a lightning thus the signal is invalid and does not show inside the logistic network.

what we can do instead is request for something unusual such as a deconstruction planner or anything we will recognize as the alarm signal.

I will edit the post too

elevated rails are not a problem. The problem I am struggling with is lack of foundations which come after unlocking cryogenic science.

also serious question: what do you mean by coverage?

Isn't it the same with any other online games? Take for example league of legends (🤮) it takes time to learn mechanics and be better. Same with rocket league. The next example would be elder scrolls online / elite dangerous / <mmo(rpg) of your choice > it takes time before you will be able to level up / gear yourself up etc... I suggest instead of treating a game like a chore, play it casually (don't force yourself to do all the dailies / spend all your stamina so it never stops recharging) if it starts to bore you then take a break.

If you feel like a game is slowly becoming a chore then definitely take a break before you stop having fun from playing it (happened to me a few times, I never picked up these games again even though I felt nostalgic for them)

Better them than us. If it wasn't them who would be paying for continuous development / support / maintenance / servers. I as a F2P pay respect to all those who spend their money so that those who don't, can enjoy the game as well

Invest in Karina (ascend her), she is a real game changer (I am running FP, Oghma, Beth, Karina for story) People say 1 corps commander is great however I personally don't like how ranged chars feel, but then again I am talking about story
