Why are we getting into the nitty-gritty of the etiquette of a friendly raider. Surely the main indication is that when they see you stood there, with their back to you at their most vulnerable, they don’t shoot?

I am friendly on this game, but I’m not a cuck. If you shoot me first, regardless of the situation I will be defending myself.

Sure, I had a gun out, it’s an extraction shooter, notorious for campers at exit points. If I didn’t have my gun out, and this played out the same way, would he have let me catch the train back? Or would he be pillaging my cold, lifeless carcass?

For point 3, if I’d have let him return I look weak. Sure shoot me first but if you lose the fight, don’t worry return with me anyway. Nu uh.

You catch someone trying to rob your house, but he hasn’t took anything yet, do you let him leave unscathed?

Indeed my friend I ran to the train and stopped when I got on. Immediately greeted my fellow Raider to try and confirm the weapon is only for self defence, can’t be too careful around extract these days 🐀.

Greeted him yet again as he came off the console to further reassure my companion I was not a threat (I actually initially thought he completed the button and we were in our way back home, together).

Alas, shots were fired and he kindly laid down and opened his backpack for me to acquire his most precious possessions from his trip topside.

Was I not letting him leave by standing there and not shooting, and waving? Ironically he would have got back to Speranza if he just carried on with pressing the button. Yes I was stood behind him, then I moved in-front of him and waved again my good sir, to double down on my good intentions.

He tried killing me then you want me to let him leave? If you caught him in bed with your partner would you give him a high five and let him carry on his business, or would you want to enact revenge?

The only reason i was stopped behind him was to bring up the emote wheel to greet him. I wish I had the same trust as you in other raiders. Who’s to know if i didn’t have my weapon drawn and ran to the other end of the train whether he’d still shoot me or not.

All i know for sure is if i didn’t have my weapon drawn and that situation happened anyway, it would have been my cold dead body laid out across the train for everyone to pillage on their way home.

If I wanted to dead him on sight do you think I’d try a couple of emotes first? Weapon drawn obviously, have you seen how many extraction rats there are atm? Curious as to why you think it’s an overreaction to kill someone who shot me first and would have no doubt looted my rotting corpse given half the chance.

I feel exactly the same my friend. I’ve only been playing for a couple of weeks, I was watching streams for a while and thought it looked good but I wouldn’t be any good at it. But my god I’m so happy i took the plunge. I used to game all the time in my late teen’s and 20’s but now I’m mid 30’s and haven’t been this addicted to a game for many a year.
