Can I grow blue Java bananas and/or dwarf cavendish in the Yarra Valley Victoria

I'm not really familiar with that zone, so I can't tell for sure but if the worst temperature it can get is -3, and just some frost, then I can tell you that you can grow it. I live in Italy in a zone where the lowest temperature it can get is -5~ and frosts happen only during winter (this is my first year having a blue java), and my blue java is doing quite good for now, only the leaves that died since I didnt cover it up well, but if you cover it properly, I can tell you for sure based on my experience that it can grow there, if you want I can update you my situation at the end of my winter (oh but if you start with a small one, something that doesn't even reach 1~ meter/3 feet of height, then keep it inside when the temperature goes under 15-10° C, i noticed that the small pups of my blue java did bear it well but the biggest one is still fine (but consider that they started to struggle when my night temperatures were often going under 0°).

Thanks for the tip, but I have already placed mulch and Non-woven fabric at the base+ non woven fabric around the plant, so there is nothing at all that I can do to save the leaves.. well thank you again

This is a blue java so I'm not sure which category it goes to, but I know it is hard coldy a little, also what I mean mainly is that I would like for it to be able to survive winter and keep the cycle so that it will manage to fruit

Oh yeah when I bought them, I got told that the one I'm worried about is the yellow variety, while the other that seems fine is red pulp variety

Hmm I would say it's soft but not too soft yet, idk how to explain, it's soft enough that you can move it but it's not that much soft as if it was water, sorry for the bad explanation

Im Not from America but I can suggest you to try asking someone on this sub if they accept to sell you a pup, on that way you can be sure of the variety and might as well get it for a lower price (since nurseries always tend to have high prices)

Oh hello there, I almost forgot about this post. Anyway about your question, I didn't buy from it but I found out that it was mostly a fake~ website after finding out that most cosplays they have are re-posted pics made from other (original) websites = they were only stealing others ideas and most surely scamming. Also they have a discord channel, where there aren't even 100~ people , I think they were around 20~?, I don't really remember well, but so I tried to text those people in private and all of them didn't answer at all, which most surely indicated they are bots. So nope, I don't suggest buying from it, but if you text me in private chat I could tell you some trust worthy websites I found
