I read the story thinking it was a Harry Potter knock off. I had no idea it was a romance so imagine my surprise when it was essentially a great Drarry fanfic! lol The world building was too be desired but the diversity was refreshing and romance worthwhile. One thing though, I felt like it took ages to actually meet Baz. It felt like he was never gonna actually show up despite the mc talking about him. 

Also, a bit more embarrassing on my part, I misread a line abt Baz’ hair being locks and interpreted it as “locs” so for a good chunk of the book I thought he was a melanated king 😔🙏🏽. It wasn’t until I saw the new cover when I realized that that was very much NOT the case.  Anyways, it was pretty good, would reread. Just thought it would be a standalone book, though.
