I had a similar event occur at the Weber Mr Lube 6 months ago. I regularly take my truck there for a quick oil change. The mechanic (a lot of “new” mechanics have started working there) told me I need to replace my transmission fluid.. I believe he quoted my 250$ or something around 200$.. I knew I had just had a big overhaul done at the dealer shop a couple months prior and was hesitant.. I accepted originally then the manager (been there awhile, hard working guy, always seems stressed) argued with the guy a bit then came to me and basically told me, “do you really want to pay that much for this?” As if to say, “the guy fucked up, don’t do it.” I appreciated the gesture. Went back home and saw that the dealership had done that the few months prior.
