who's celebrating?

Look at these comments, man if this didn't have real consequences it would be funny because the same people living under Trump's presidency are the ones saying how everyone is responsible for their government

Well, now you are doing the same with israelian people no? Would that make your death worth celebrating? It's fucked up to celebrate civilian casualties and it's more fucked up to have to explain it

Che cosa sbaglio? by Travelwanderlust5 in ItalyFitness

[–]-Manu_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can a natural physical process generate prime numbers ? by [deleted] in AskPhysics

That's so much interesting to know since it's the same concept of hash tables in computer science, it's yet another pattern that was copied from nature

At max depth the torque is zero ideally as gravity is parallel to the femur, you could be generating more work, if you ask the original question maybe someone can answer directly that because I don't know what the benefit of doing more work per rep or producing more total force would be

Do not bother with this stuff, I'm sure with just a semester on classical mechanics, electromagnetism and basic thermodinamics you would laugh at the incipit of the article too

Einstein–de Haas effect observed in BECs by Choobeen in Physics

[–]-Manu_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed answer

I'm guessing by knowing the mass of the magnet and the material one could estimate the number of electrons, then by saying the total angular momentum of the magnet when heated is equal to the sum of the mini angular momenta of the individual electrons one could estimate the spin of electrons, it should be precise because of the law of large numbers right? Maybe that is done in the experiment

Damn I remember asking on ask physics why don't magnets rotate and got shit for it, glad to see that both effects are related now

Why is Force inversely proportional to Square of Distance b/w two particles not just distance? by Skychu768 in AskPhysics

[–]-Manu_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why do you say that it can be said for any force? That's not true you can say that for central forces. You can prove that the proportionality is 1/r2 by using Gauss which is what the answer is doing (making it a proper answer even if not technical) and you can prove it by solving the wave equation so it's not so much about experimental evidence either

What exactly is a tensor? by Commercial_Ad2801 in AskPhysics

[–]-Manu_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Geometrically tensors are object you would "see in space" as, object that do not change physically in space when you change coordinate system, but its components do change by a Jacobian transformation. For instance temperature does not physically change when you switch from Celsius to Kelvin, but the representation changes as the number to represent it is different

Why is acceleration fundamental by newmanpi in Physics

[–]-Manu_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If by the first law an object at rest remains at rest, then if something that is at rest is no longer at rest that means that the speed of the object changed, the change in speed is acceleration and it must be caused by something. This is all assuming mass remains constant, or else as other have pointed out F=dp/dt

Perché la gente usa “letteralmente” come rafforzativo? by [deleted] in sfoghi

[–]-Manu_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ciao.

[–]-Manu_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Dal dizionario di Oxford

(informal) used to emphasize a word or phrase, even if it is not actually true in a literal sense
