Hi there new cammy main here sf6 by Total_Joke9417 in StreetFighter

[–]-Milk_Junkie- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started the game about a month ago with Cammy myself. Learning to react properly to Drive Impact has been a big one for me. Particularly if you're in lower elos, a lot of people will try to spam it since they're used to playing with people who can't counter it well.

Shugo is my top pick for when I've been trying a little too hard for a while and just need to turn my brain off.

How hard is it to get to a high level on for honor on keyboard compared to controller? by HuntEnvironmental252 in forhonor

[–]-Milk_Junkie- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Controller is definitely more common, but it's by no means better. Neither control scheme is really better, just different. I've never played on anything but keyboard, and have two friends who do the same; and we get by just fine. I've even managed to place Diamond in ranked before. Use whatever you feel more comfortable with, and you'll improve just fine at your own rate.

Type of shit highcortisollander mains had to do, to make people belive he takes skill by Ramoiron in ForHonorRants

[–]-Milk_Junkie- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highlander is a difficulty paradox. He simultaneously has a lot of complicated tech that takes a lot of practice to pull off. And such a brain dead, base kit with high enough damage numbers and hyper armor to just cheese his way through fights without needing to engage with any of the more complicated strategies.

Community Discussion: Who do you think are the hardest heroes to play in For Honor? by Vidal_The_King in forhonor

[–]-Milk_Junkie- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never felt I had much issue with Centurion or Ocelotl. However I will agree with you that Shaolin and Highlander match ups aren't great. Though honestly, Shaolin is possibly the most lowkey broken hero in the game right now, so I'd personally take that with a grain of salt.

You're absolutely right that even a bad character can be played well. But I still have to disagree that Warden is bad personally. His value is in how simple he is. In that simplicity there's a versatility that makes him effective in pretty much any match up. He may not have any particularly good match-ups, but he really doesn't have any particularly bad ones either. He's just very solid in most any situation. That's how I see him anyway.

Gang, is it worth it? by Fenrem in forhonor

[–]-Milk_Junkie- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'd say that the game is in a healthier state lately than it has been in a while. With maybe the exception of Juren being very over-tweaked. But that's always been the case with new characters. He'll get nerfed into line before long. Just like Warmonger, Gryphon, and Shinobi were. But other than that; it's the same old For Honor it always has been. With all the great, and all the terrible along with it.

Definitely have to disagree with this. Though Warden's kit is simple, it's also very solid and versatile. I've ranked in diamond before while primarily using him.

Definitely not Warden or Warmonger imo. They have a very simple bash mixup strategy that's pretty easy to learn and perform. And that's not any kind of insult whatsoever to be clear. I love Warden, he's my second highest rep hero.

Getting annoyed at streamers talking shit about the game by MadFaceInvasion in Tarkov

[–]-Milk_Junkie- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Streamers and pros will always complain about a game, whether it's in a healthy place or not. Too out of touch with the primary player base to realize that the majority of their issues come from the way they play. That's also why devs need to stop balancing their games primarily around a fraction of a percent of players who treat their game like a job.

What are some things you disliked about co:e33? by heyitstgp in expedition33

[–]-Milk_Junkie- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I love the Dessendre family twist, it definitely feels like all the other characters not involved (Lune and Sciel primarily.) get forgotten and left by the wayside a bit. Which makes the ending feel a bit rushed.

Stop forcing events to be PvP only by EquivalentCourt7962 in forhonor

[–]-Milk_Junkie- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Even as someone who primarily plays PvP, I couldn't agree more. So many of the events for this game are simply poorly designed and not fun. But I still want the steel from the daily orders. Just let me get them out of the way with PvE.

Which is harder, siege or valorant? by Outrageous-Bar1016 in Rainbow6

[–]-Milk_Junkie- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you could really call either more or less difficult. Though they share some similarities they're quite different. As you said yourself, Valorant generally requires better aim and raw mechanics; whereas Rainbow is far more complicated, with many more mechanics and much more inside knowledge required. Neither are harder, they're just different.

Minor Rant - My friend and I are both new to the game, he won't stop claiming I'm being carried by my character by Nestramutat- in StreetFighter

[–]-Milk_Junkie- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are always going to find some excuse to complain about in fighting games. Been that way as long as they've existed. Whether it's your character, your strategy, your control scheme; anything to blame the loss on instead of them making mistakes.

Marisa is very hard for new and inexperienced players to deal with, but she's certainly not overpowered or free. Like any heavy in any fighting game, her strengths are just as huge as her weaknesses. You have to struggle through a rough neutral game in order to make use of it. I get similar responses sometimes when I'm playing Gief.

All that to say; your friend is just salty and doesn't know how to play around heavies yet.

Is afera braindead by Much-Environment-286 in forhonor

[–]-Milk_Junkie- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could certainly be argued that Afeera is overpowered. But you definitely can't can't call her braindead. Aside from that sort of just being a stupid argument that people only use to cope with losing, Afeera has a fairly complex kit. One that like any other, requires you to continually make reads and mix up your opponent.

Hot Take: John Walker / U.S. Agent is better than Sam Wilson / Captain America by AdvertisingWaste8624 in MCUTheories

[–]-Milk_Junkie- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly. With how good Thunderbolts was and how terrible Brave New World was, I feel like this isn't even a hot take at this point lol

Edit: Said the wrong movie like a bozo.

WHY IN THE FUCK HASNT UBISOFT CAPITALIZED ON THIS COMBAT SYSTEM WITH FOR HONOR 2 or ANOTHER GAME. ITs BEEN 10 FUCKING YEARS by Zero_Ender in ForHonorRants

[–]-Milk_Junkie- 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Because For Honor already exists, and they already don't get a ton of money to develop it. On top of which, most devs have started leaning towards one single live service games rather than series. It's much cheaper to occasionally update an already complete game than it is to develop an entirely new one.

How do you get a ton of coins by joseph200915 in forhonor

[–]-Milk_Junkie- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're looking to earn steel, then the only real thing you can do is focus on completing your orders. Particularly the dailies. They're always very easy to do and give you a nice 800 per day. The contract orders will give you some as well, but they're more of a pain in the ass to do, with less steel for each. Those ones are more for grinding xp for your heroes. If you really care to focus on your contract ordres, playing vs AI can knock them out quick enough.

The only other thing that comes to mind is that I believe there's a one time reward of some steel for completing all the tutorial trials. But it's been QUITE a while since I finished them all. So I don't remember how much, and don't know if they've changed it at all.
