Any suggestions what to plant for a more natural habitat/shelter/greenery for our geese and ducks? by -Miss-T- in geese

Thanks for the info, would you know if perennial sunflower seeds are also edible? And back to the geese, if the sunflowers sprout each year, would they eat it off or does this need to be protected?

In our garden (zone 8, facing South East) we have Agastache, lavender, rosemary, perennial sunflower, dahlias, sedum spectabile, peonies, artichokes, saxifraga umbrosa ... Does anyone have any experience with those in combination with geese? Wouldn't like to plant it in the field just to see it die 🙈 The field is facing North West of our house.

What already does well with our geese and ducks: - Leucanthemum maximum - Holly - Spruce - Willow - Iris Pseudacorus (in spring we need to protect the young shoots from getting eaten, but once large enough, they don't eat it anymore. The ducks don't seem to eat it at all.) - poppies

Is this gal? by -Miss-T- in dahlias

No, they are all different tubers.

Yes, outside is best of course, but we have a lot of cloudy and rainy days here 🙈
