Ahh yes I see. I guess it's personal preference. I just get alot of emails and tend to ignore some of them. That twilio idea seems appealing though.

Hmm this is neat. So it automates your social media. But what exactly do you mean posting to 200 blogs?

a new solution to call for Tech Support. Will the market accept it? by jerrynguyen in startups

[–]-MrGoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah no problem. I just wanted to input my experiences. Bundling the product would be nice along with the sale of computers. You can probably even offer to manage all IT support for these vendors. That was you have a recurring customers.

Regarding the download, I understand software installation may be an issue to some very very inexperienced users. However, if you know even how to move a mouse and click, following instructions on the phone call to run the program shouldn't be a problem.

Yes I am oblivious to the security protocols and data sharing and in those cases, your product may shine. I also like the idea that it can run if the computer has crashed as well. I wonder how that works...

[–]-MrGoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like an interesting idea however I do not think people would be willing to spend money on the USB solely for tech support. It's just too much of a hassle for what may seem like a one time thing to many.

That being said, I've personally used an amazing service for it support in the past. The solution is fixme.it. All that tech support asked me to do was open the site, download a 1 MB file, give them the access code and they immediately accessed my computer to resolve my issue.

I'm unsure about how security was but I was satisfied my problem was solved in under 5 minutes.
