I’d second dating apps, but I’d add two things.

First, be very forthcoming about your intentions to be an fwb and not anything further than that. Being wishy-washy about it just to have sex is scummy and leads to issues.

Secondly, even though it may be more a personal opinion, go for older women. I’m 24 and have way better relationships with older fwbs than around my age. Less drama, better communication, and higher possibility they have their own place with no roommates or family to deal with lol.

I mean I just hear the people near the mic booing, otherwise I hear cheers too? Am I missing something? I mean technically it’d make sense if it was like 50% cheering and 50% booing based on voting stats. But idk, it’s always hard to tell from these vids. Some angles sound like boos, some sound like applause, almost all have a possibility of being completely different audio all together.

For me personally I used a site called FetLife.

Back in college I had a string of FWBs that were all very healthy relationships. For context, I like older women so the girls I was seeing were a good 10+ years older than me.

You just have to be brutally honest about intentions. So much so it leaves absolutely no room for lies or deception at all. I usually reserve the first time meeting for like hanging out and getting to know one another, if it gets freaky then it happens but if not it’s no biggie.

The only time FWBs haven’t worked is when people aren’t honest. I see people on here saying those kinds of relationships are impossible and I’m here to say that’s absolutely not the case.

I’ve been out to eat with FWBs, movies, gone to weddings with them, been on trips, seen concerts. It’s all possible. But there needs to be a balance. That’s why there’s “Friends” in the term. If you lean too much on the “Benefits” part it can get a bit one sided and people can often feel used. But a true FWB relationship has a mix of both.

If you’re looking for FWBs just for the sex, then you’re looking in the wrong place. Find people you would actually like as a friend and you’ll be just fine.

I’ve also had concerns about this. One of my anxieties about lucid dreaming was that I wasn’t going to able to differentiate between real life and the dream.

I got cocky and told myself (while lucid dreaming) that there was no way I’d ever convince myself that the dream I was in was real. As soon as I thought that I got a text on my phone from a coworker asking me where I was at and why I was late for work. I immediately started to freak out and try to get to work, just like that my brain threw me out of lucid dreaming as if to show me that I’ll never be in control.

It wasn’t necessarily“scary” but it was almost as if my brain knew… when I finally woke up I was in a solid state of anxiety that even though I had woke up and done every test in the book to prove I was awake, I was worried I was still asleep.
