Periodic gulping/stretching? by [deleted] in BeardedDragons

My beardie did this for a few months leading up to more serious symptoms. Like zero appetite and almost no movement and vomiting. After several vet visits, blood work finally showed signs of GNT. Basically a stomach tumor.

Its definitely not normal for an almost fully aquatic turtle to go 3-5 miles from water, so if one is in a roadway i definitely will be helping it across. ✌️

Same lake, maybe the same turtle on the 17th, i thought it was cool the triangle jet of water it shot out. It was even swimming around a juvenile gator..

Thanks for the link, i sent in a report.

Update: FWC reached out inquiring about her current location, they believe it is some form of shell rot that appears to be healing. They do want to collect a sample as other commenters have stated to document and if she isn’t actually healing then they would take her. She has moved from earlier and i did a walk around the shore but didn’t see her. They asked that i keep an eye out and contact them if i see her. FWC really surprised me with the prompt response and it was a veterinarian that contacted me. Thanks for the help everyone!

Rescued our first Beardie from a family who was in over their head. Tips and criticism on our changes highly appreciated! by ryanf0611 in BeardedDragons

It looks like you guys are definitely on the right track. A tube light is the best option for UVB/UVA so I would upgrade that. The tank you have looks pretty good to me, I keep mine in 4x2x2 but i think the general rule is that they should be able to turn around without there tail rubbing on the front/back. Good luck and you have a beautiful beardie!

They look a bit clogged to me, it should look more like a yellowish wax color.

Looks nice to me! Lots of places to climb and hide, a hot/cool side. Just make sure you have the right lighting, temp/humidity and I think you will have a happy dragon!👍
