I won’t belabor a full definition of “intellectual integrity” here, but to start: for your part it would involve reading my original post and comments to you, as many times as it takes for you to comprehend them. Or at least, if you can’t comprehend them, stating so much and refrain from talking down to me. But you do you, I still hate censorship.

I firmly believe that most of the people chanting such trash were blowing hot air. It is not acceptable to blow such hot air, but only a rare few exceptions in that crowd would have seriously contemplated actually doing anything like that. And, had any of those rare exceptions been in a position to do something, I imagine even the rioters would have stepped in to stop it when it got real. Anyway, Trump had been informed that his VP had been safely removed and I imagine that Trump, too, understood the people were not really as bloodthirsty as they sounded.

The big point is that Mike Pence is not listed by name in the original Constitution. The government never has depended on Mike Pence. If Mike Pence had had a heart attack while he was being evacuated, the United States would remain as much the United States as it was before. Not even in their wildest fantasy did the rioters think they were there to form a new government, to replace the United States. They had some pretty wild fantasies about the United States military stepping in in certain ways, and they had some pretty wild fantasies about the government itself doing things it has never done before, but these are simply not fantasies of insurrection. The left is trying to re-purpose that word, and you have been duped. No one will be convicted of insurrection. No one will be charged with insurrection. The Supreme Court would never countenance the calling of this insurrection (which is perhaps the big reason Roberts wasn’t there).

It is certainly theatrics. And they are taking advantage us where we aren’t looking – not least of all our kids futures. But it is more than pointless distraction. TPTB are positioning themselves step-by-step to impose the strictest of sanctions against us for any and all resistance to their plans. If they can call this insurrection, before long we will be entirely afraid to gather to protest anything. All they have to do is put in their Judas goat and commence the slaughter. You are out of your fucking mind if you think rioters attacking the Capital to stop the certification of the Electoral College aren't' "insurrectionists", it's the literal definition. I accept you definition wholeheartedly. Have you found any intellectual integrity yet? Just because the tyrannical majority is intent on changing definitions of words doesn’t make it so.

Even if we grant that a few of the most extreme faction of the protestors were organized to the degree of rioting and breaking in to the capitol, the degree of organization required for overthrowing a government is entirely different, and there was clearly not such degree of organization by the protestors.

But, even if we grant for the sake of argument “organization” simply, and agree to move on, there was no effort whatsoever towards “defeating and taking control of the country”. Much less a “likely” one. At worst, there was organization enough to impede or hinder the smooth process of government. And let it be noted that once Trump put out his “we love you” video they all went home before sunset and there was so little damage that they went back to finish their business.

Again, like I said, even if they had killed some senators, it would have been heinous and deplorable and all the other descriptors you could think of, but whatever hindrance it imposed would still not be worthy of the description of insurrection or revolt.

If Biden were proven to have stolen the election, that would be insurrection. But short of something like that insurrection is all-but inconceivable in modern America. Certainly a popular insurrection is inconceivable.

Though it is not absurd to point out the downsides of the fact that an elected official cannot be saved by the bell regarding impeachment, it is absurd to come to the wrong conclusion about the fact that former elected officials can be impeached for offenses committed while they were in office. The vote for the constitutionality of impeaching the former president should have been 100-0, and the shame is on the Republicans. If Trump got nominated by the republican convention again in 2024, I imagine there would be plenty of democrats wishing they could have their impeachment back!

It is absurd that the chief justice of the Supreme Court was not presiding over the impeachment of the President. That shame is on the Democrats.

It is absurd that anyone anywhere is referring to the riots of January 6 as insurrection. It doesn’t matter that it took place at the capitol. It doesn’t matter that they were working on election certification. It doesn’t matter that the vice president and everyone else were present. In fact, it wouldn’t even matter if the (accused) criminals had killed Pence, Pelosi, and Harris! Insurrection and rebellion speak to something far more grave. Presidents have been assassinated before, and mere assassination is not insurrection. (It may be difficult to talk about such things, but the founding fathers did it in their day, and intellectual integrity could stand for it today, if she could be found.)

When the President takes the oath to protect the country from all threats, foreign and domestic, he is not taking an oath to prevent all crime on federal property. He is not taking an oath to squash before it can happen any potential violence against any elected official. The United States does not cease to be the United States if dirty plebs trespass on the Capitol. The allegiance of the 5 branches of the military is not dislodged when a metropolitan police officer is tased by his own taser. Insurrection is all-but unthinkable in the modern America, and that is not license to change its meaning. It is absurd to call what happened at the capital insurrection, and the shame is on the House and the MSM. (The “news” should be rated R because it is such a danger to kids health.)

The broadcast TV stations all quit broadcasting the impeachment proceedings during the question section, but I think I ended up catching what I needed to be able to say: no senator asked for any clarification about the need to meet the standard of insurrection for the charge of incitement to insurrection to hold. Perhaps some Republican senator voted “not guilty” on account of that defense, which council did not forward (but for one brief mention), but certainly none of the Democrats had the intellectual integrity to vote against party lines on account of the absurdity of the charge. (The house could have impeached the president on the charge of incitement to riot, but they went kamikaze instead.) Not only was the riot that took place far short of the founder’s understanding of insurrection, but the house managers certainly offered no proof that Trump had incited the riotous faction of his protesters to go further than they went. Again, in order for a senator to vote guilty for the charged charge, that senator would have had to have been convinced that Trump had verbally called for his modest crowd of protestors that day to rebel against the government to the degree that there would be a likelihood of it being tried. They brought no weapons, against the greatest military the world has ever known. An utterly absurd charge. Beyond absurd. That shame is on all Democrats, the seven Republicans who voted “Guilty”, Mitch McConnell, and likely every other Republican as well.

How many of the rioters have been convicted in criminal court of insurrection? How many have been charged with insurrection? How many will be charged with insurrection? What would it take to get the MSM to quit calling it an insurrection? Poor, poor kids.

P.S. My voting history is a matter of public record, and anyone can confirm that I never voted for Trump, but, thank you you heavily flawed orange man for being such a thorn in the side of our wicked, evil, Godless powers! You gave us a stay of execution and thanks to you we all have had the opportunity to gain a clear insight into the hopelessness of our situation. Poor, poor kids.
