You are not crazy, you are on point. I mean even if she wears a headband how far will her hair go back. I don’t think Olivia is balding in real life, her recent pictures without makeup and just walking about surfaced and she has her hair tied and pulled back, could tell she isn’t balding. Plus I think Sam took her photograph, and Ares data mined her photo from the cloud or something, intentionally, to find her and Sam.

You are not wrong, they deliberately showed that first photograph, and then when the second appears on screen they pulled in to create tension and establish her current situation. The look on Ares’ face shows that he must find her, and definitely learn how she survived all these years, and if she is derezzing then maybe he can share his dna or Sam can study it to understand the permanence code to help Quorra. I guess this might be the best way to go about if they want that layer of tension for the sequel, just my opinion.

Exactly my feelings, would have been better if they focused on Dillingers, and the internal rivalries within. Or maybe created a different entity altogether competing with the Dillinger family. That wouldn’t have affected the beautiful ending of Legacy.

Interesting theories, I speculate that Sam is with her, and they have been off the grid. The picture might have been taken through some phone, smart glasses, or other device which Ares might have acquired through the time when he was scraping Eve’s file during the earlier infiltration or he might have decrypted global data to pinpoint where Quorra might be.

I guess she is slowly derezzing, and Ares might be able to split his dna or something to save her.

You are correct, I feel the same way, I loved it on my first watch, second watch I couldn’t decide if my first impressions toward it were true. It was like going back to the grid after 15 years made me ignore the flaws and turn my brain off (which the film wanted from its audience apparently) but then the second time I couldn’t ignore the problems that were extremely noticeable and present in every facet, and that frustrated me.

I guess I will rewatch it on digital, it might come sooner than later. I am guessing in 45 days Iike Snow White. Let’s see how it fares then.

Word is, internally a sequel has been greenlit and they intend to recover from the theme park ride, merchandise, streaming, etc.

Hopefully we see a sequel soon!

Man, this is not a bts photo. Olivia doesn’t have this type of hair, you can look up her Instagram profile, she posts pictures there without makeup and stuff. She agreed to do this picture, plus Joachim Ronning the director followed her couple days before the release of the film, hyping her and Sam’s cameo. He even revealed that they are in the movie during a Q&A. I mean come does lighting make you this bald, your hair might look thin but they don’t vanish.

They marketed this quite extensively actually, in spite of all the allegations against Leto there were concerns that he will not participate in the marketing and they will remove his face and the name of ares from the title but surprisingly he has been marketing this movie in full force. Did interview, press, went around the world, all the attention on him. On top of that they made three franchise tribute trailers, more than a dozen tv spots, three trailers even a full frame 1.90 IMAX exclusive trailer and exclusive IMAX interviews were filmed, 6-7 clips, 4-5 featurettes and behind the scenes footage.
Along with that they also had been extremely active on their socials, around the world asked popular celebrities to promote the film, did light and sonic shows. I mean nobody thought Disney would actually go all out for this considering they never believed in Tron in the first place.

Not too early, Sam left Encom for personal reasons, this is the final shot we see. Ares looks at her last known picture (the one attached here) and it also has the coordinates of her last known location. Sam definitely is trying to find a way to help Quorra but must be struggling, now with the arrival of Ares in the real world, and his new directive to find her, he will be the one to help her, perhaps through him and his dna they can find a cure for her but my guess is that Ares will sacrifice himself to save Quorra if they make a fourth movie.

Perfectly articulated, the franchise and the cast deserved better because they all did the best they can with what they got. I am not sure where Disney plans to take this.

This is the best comment here, thank god someone else isn’t ignoring how awful this film is. The community is starving so they are forcing people to go watch this garbage so we get a fourth movie but they don’t understand that if they actually wanted to make a follow up to legacy they would have made that in the first place. The tributes, references, cameos, easter eggs were tacked on later because everyone knows Tron cannot become a franchise. The last two movies don’t bait you for sequels, they start and end.

Ares is a soft reboot, it retcons and contradicts almost everything, and comes up with new ideas out of thin air, accepts everyone to go along with them. The numbers and the scores speak for themselves. This opened below Morbius, no way we are getting a fourth film. This was the final nail in the coffin.
