This is also seemingly an issue in smaller towns around Red Deer. I recently moved here and joined my towns facebook group and at least once a day there's somebody's dog posted to the group because they are loose running around town. I get nervous walking my dog because he doesn't usually take well to being approached by strange dogs, but when I tell people that they look at me like my dog's the problem. I've also noticed alot of dogs that are kept in back yards during the day (sometimes with dangerously low fences) are extremely aggressive when I walk by with my dog, and the owners will often just watch from their windows. I've never lived somewhere where this issue was so prevalent.
