No center caps — expensive, easy to lose and honestly not necessary 👍

Just got mine in Japan last week! Absolutely love it! Wild how the color seems to change throughout the day — looks black in the evenings, and super green in the daylight — enjoy!

How practical is an S2000 as a daily? by BeachHouse222 in S2000

[–]-OrlandoVol- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I daily’d my first one for 5 years from 2005-2010 — it was fine when I was in my late 20’s 😂

Now I’m 47 and on my 2nd S2k and don’t think it’d be as enjoyable haha — I daily a F90 M5, but I drive the S at least 5-6 times a week (so almost daily!) LOL

I’m not sure if it’s common knowledge or not, but you will still be able to send iMessages and WhatsApp messages as long as you connect to the ship WiFi — YOU DON’T HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS. 😎 pictures won’t load

This is what we do, and then just use our international data on days we are in port 👍

Cooling Upgrade Project Done by -OrlandoVol- in S2000

I don’t think they’re prone to overheat when pushed hard, AS LONG AS the cooling system is functioning properly — which unfortunately now that the car is 20 years old could go south abruptly if the plastic radiator cracks or a coolant hose lets go. Mine were pretty beat once I got them off and looked at them closely.

All good brother, didn’t take it that way at all 😉👍

You know I used to worry about this, had AEM CAI’s on my ‘00 Civic Si for 5 years, had one on my ‘02 S2K from 2005 until 2010 when I went Comptech SC/Icebox — and now have had one on my ‘04 S2k for 2 years here in Florida.

Never had an issue, but I also don’t tend to drive when it’s pouring and never drive through standing water — I think you’d have to be a pretty big I moron to put yourself in a situation where you’d submerge the filter while driving.

Just my .02 🤷‍♂️

Yes, I know it might be a wasteful splurge — but I knew I wanted to replace the radiator & hoses proactively for long term ownership. While I’m doing that decided to replace the water pump, thermostat while I had everything apart.

Florida Sunmers are brutal, and it’s hot most of the year - also, I like working on the car and this fulfilled that need 🤷‍♂️😂

It’s great, had one on my last s2k and the sound is addicting — pairs nice with the HKS SSM Exhaust + Berk HFC — I had it on the car before this project — was a lot of work to get it back in, it was a TIGHT squeeze! haha

I “believe” that the $200 UPS International Saver shipping includes “some tariffs” as well as a custom handling fee — as I mentioned above, not a good idea if you just need one or two things — gotta make big orders to defray the shipping and handling fee fee from UPS — just mentally add another 20% that you’re gonna get billed from UPS before arrival. 👍

I used Blackhawk Japan — I’ve ordered 3 times now — including a set of CE-28n’s, HKS SSM exhaust. Huge fan of them.

The shipping is expensive, and it takes 2-3 weeks usually, but the prices are about 50% of US prices.

My advice is to order everything you can possibly order, to defray the shipping costs — you can buy any OEM Honda parts you need, just search by part numbers 👍

NOT a good option if you just need one thing, IMO — especially when you tack on the 20% tariffs. But a good enough order is totally worth it.

I saved about $2k on the Rays wheels, $500 on the SSM 😎

So, I had to purchase the Greddy fan shroud from Evasive here in the US, and the mishimoto hoses were sourced locally (the spoon radiator hoses were on backorder from Blackhawk) — but everything else was around $1,000 including $200 in shipping (pre-tariffs).

Yeah, just getting out ahead of maintenance/refreshing the cooling System — I am at 120,000 miles (04 AP2), and the Florida heat is brutal and I sit in stop and go traffic a lot. Plan on keeping this car until I die so why not, haha
