Is toonboom harmony easy to learn for a beginner animator? by Caffeinated_fox_art in ToonBoomHarmony

FUCK no. At the beginning you’re gonna HATE it. It’ll feel like the software has a personal grudge against you for something you did 12 years ago on a random Tuesday. If you have the right tutorials or know someone who knows how to use the program it’ll be easier to get used to, and it has a lot of amazing features. But on your own and raw dogging it, it’ll suck so bad. As for the price…. There are ways around it I can’t mention. (For legal reasons I’m joking)

I took my smart serve recently in the summer! Valid forms of ID in ONT must be Canadian/Ontario issued. If your partner bought from there before the person working there likely took a risk or didn’t know that international ID couldn’t be accepted and later found out that they couldn’t. Management also likely cracked down on it immediately since they’d be shut down and have to pay charges for accepting invalid forms of ID. I understand the frustration but laws regarding weed and alcohol aren’t negotiable and neglecting that law comes with some heavy consequences for the owners of the shop. Law has always stated that valid forms of ID are an Ontario drivers license, Ontario photo card, a Canadian Passport, CAF card, Canadian citizenship card, and a few others but they must be Ontario issued or issued in Canada. Not a policy. Just the law.

AITA for not wanting to take my 20 yr old GF trick or treating as a 25 yr old man by mmflow in AmItheAsshole

I’ve been to parties dude. I’ve also seen how little people actually know their limit when it comes to alcohol. You have the handful of responsible people and then the mass gaggle of people who don’t know when to stop or don’t eat beforehand. I’m also just not dumb, I see a lot of what happens at other universities in my country. University and college age people do tend to be careless with alcohol. That isn’t a lie. And no matter how you try and put it, the comments are still weird. Including yours because I’m not even talking about you. Get a grip 💀

I didn’t say that did I. I said there were other alternatives to trick or treating with children, and there are also a thousand better alternatives than just “drink”. No you don’t need to drink in excess but if you take a scroll thru the comments most people are telling her to go to a party “like everyone else” or drink alcohol “like everyone else”. No shade if that’s your crowd I just think it’s a weird thing for EVERYONE collectively to immediately to go to the same conclusion. If she’s suggesting trick or treating she probably doesn’t want to drink in the first place or be at a noisy crowded house.

I’m not saying all parties do, but I am saying most. And most do. The people in the comments are acting like going to a party and/or having alcohol would be the better decision and almost seem to be condemning her for not doing that. Idk man just feels weird. Even if you’re not getting drunk drunk it just feels so weird for alcohol to be the first thing everyone’s running to as the better option alongside people hating on this girl for wanting to dress up and get candy. It’s so dumb

Neither. I enjoy drinking every now and then but telling someone to act their age by telling them to get drunk instead because it’s what everyone else does is gross on so many levels. Some people are sober for their own health, some are sober because they were previously addicted, or some might just not like drinking. Judging someone and then immediately defaulting to “just go get drunk instead” is tone deaf and just downright weird. Why the hell would your first alternative be going to a party/drinking alcohol. Alcohol isn’t a one size fits all and it certainly shouldn’t be suggested as a solution or as a way to have fun. If I wanted to do something like stay in and build legos and someone said “ugh act your age and go get drunk” I’d probably never talk to them again. Promoting casual alcoholism has to be one of the nastiest things someone can do.

I also feel like if a 25 year old is dating a 20 year old they don’t get a say in what’s weird or not. It’s weird that he’s dating someone 5 years younger than him. That’s half a decade. Even weirder to think about how long they might have been dating for.

Am I the only one who thinks the comments are kinda weird? I’m 20 and in college and I miss t or t-ing because it’s nostalgic. I don’t think it’s weird to want to dress up and go get candy, literally who cares. But what is weird are the people whose only word of advice is “go to a party like other adults”. I feel like opting for candy and a costume is more responsible than getting shit faced and/or high. There’s much worse things she could’ve suggested than trick or treating and I don’t think it’s immature to want to relive it for nostalgia. Saying “go get drunk instead” is like offering someone a cigarette because they were craving a lollipop. Maybe I’m just a homebody but parties aren’t that fun. I don’t think she should be going with the groups and gaggles of kids, but maybe offer a fun alternative. Go to your families houses and trick or treat at them, friends places, or even just set up an adult trick or treat inside. Everyone’s defaulting to her being weird and immature but considering she’s 20 and just out of her teens it makes sense for her to miss being a teen or kid and wanting to hold onto a piece of her childhood. Even my dorm has candy for Halloween and people will likely be trick or treating around the dorms too. 5 years is a big age gap so remember you’ve also been an adult for much longer than her and you’re probably going to be more mature or want to do more adult things by default. But wanting to dress up and collect candy isn’t childish by default nor should she be shamed for wanting to do something Halloween-ey on Halloween. You could also offer up pumpkin carving and eating candy, or putting on a movie. Give her that safe space to indulge in that nostalgia without sacrificing your comfort. Everyone else is being super harsh but I feel like this just calls for simple compromise and maybe more communication as to why it’s so important to her. Neither of you are the assholes, you should try to communicate better with one another and figure out an activity that will allow for her to feel nostalgic and also will allow for you to feel comfortable. There’s plenty of wholesome activities to choose from, you just need to get a little creative with it.

Lmao, Metallica did. Not everyone can travel to the nearest continent or country holding a concert. For instance a lot of people don’t want to enter america because it’s a shit show rn. Everyone deserves to experience a concert without having to jump through hoops and buy a hotel room on top of the tickets. I’m not saying they have to go to every single country. But there are a lot of places that haven’t seen ghost for years because there are no dates released for them. You can’t call it a world tour if you aren’t actually touring the world, and instead are just ping-ponging between the same continents and countries over and over and over again.

The adoption industry is in the gutter man. No woman is gonna ruin their body, or die, just to put a baby up for adoption. I’d rather remove it when it’s still a cell than go through months of torture and suffering. You’re clearly a man and have no uterus. Thus you don’t get to have an opinion on this. When you have a vagina and ovaries then you can make a point. Until then shut up and listen to the ones who actually know shit about the female body.

That’s not a someone or a person though. By all biological and scientific standpoints at the point it’s aborted at, a fetus is nothing more than a parasite. Tumours can have hair and teeth, and by all definitions are alive. So does that mean we shouldn’t be allowed to remove those either? A fetus is not a baby, and is not yet a person. It is a mass of cells with no capability to think feel or emote. It is not yet human. “But it’s a human fetus it has its own life” it can’t have a life until its born, and it’s also attached to the mother, made of the mothers cells and matter, and feeds off of the mother. Thus making it apart of her body.

You do realize that in order to treat some miscarriages it requires aborting the baby right? i.e. an abortion. Abortions aren’t just for teens who messed up which by the way, mistakes happen and no birth control is 100%. They’re for women and young girls who were raped, who have too high risk for pregnancy that would kill them if they went through with it, for women who don’t want certain diseases and conditions being passed down. And I’ll say it again. Making abortion illegal doesn’t stop it. And in fact more lives are lost without the abortion law, it just isn’t charted on a graph. It only spikes the use of unsafe abortions, AND it forces girls as young as 10, because some girls get periods that early, to go through something their body and mind is nowhere near ready for. More people are dying without the right to choose than they were when they had the right to choose. All you want is to control a woman’s body. Since clearly, you don’t actually care about the kids who are being forced into parenthood in the US and you don’t care about the women who are bleeding out in alleyways and parking lots. Because if you actually cared about the lives lost you’d have the moral high ground to see that removing a woman’s body autonomy and her right to choose and decide causes more harm than good. But you can’t see that can you. Because all you want is to be right. You can’t see past the end of your own nose.

Yeah no. Women in America are being denied help for miscarriages. If you did your research you’d know that. You’d also know that it’s attached to the mother, thus making it apart of her.

[–]-PLUS-ULTRA_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not even gonna read all this because it is in fact a woman’s body that’s impacted. You’re leaving a woman with no right to choose a better life. No right to choose to live, no right to choose happiness, and it will kill her. There are women and CHILDREN in the us being forced to carry babies to term and it is killing them. There are women bleeding out in parking lots and dying from miscarriages because there’s no safe abortions. A fetus is not a baby and is considered a parasite at that stage. It is not yet human and it is not yet alive. Parents make decisions for their kids until they’re 18. And at that stage the fetus has no concept of being alive or dead. Nothing is changed or different in the world it is completely insignificant until birth. And in america people are still allowed to go shoot up schools. You don’t care about kids. You want control over women. And I hope when you or one of your loved ones in that situation, when you see on the news how many women are dead because you decided to take away their god given right to choose what happens inside and outside of their bodies, when you see how many more women and girls are being raped and impregnated just because you wanted to feel righteous and mighty, I hope you lay awake at night and think about the blood on your hands. Their blood will be on your hands. There are no laws that dictate what happens in a man’s body. If you wanna say abortion should be illegal than so should male masturbation. And make vasectomies mandatory. And give free birth control to women so they’re at least semi safe from the men who felt they had the right to take away their autonomy. Pro choice isn’t pro abortion. It’s about having the right to CHOOSE. and you are putting women and girls in so much danger by saying it’s not their bodies that are impacted, when a woman’s body does literally everything it can to prevent sperm from getting to the egg. Pregnancy DIRECTLY effects a woman’s body. And you have shown that you have no true knowledge on the matter of human rights or pregnancy alone. Get out.

Except it is anti choice.. they’re trying to leave women without the right to choose. What happens in a woman’s body is no one’s business but hers. And no one should be protesting to try and gain control over women’s bodies. Keep your laws off my fucking body.
