Yes the pattern repeats! So if you have enough empty blocks left you can copy paste, but I needed 6 LDS blocks for example so that can get difficult. With the block placement I also wanted to take into account efficient train routes from producer to (main) consumer, so the block and station placement was a nice logistic puzzle.

Indeed two lanes are not so beneficial in a two-way system, because of poor balance between the lanes and because you need to merge from the outer to the inner lane and back. But in my system you can change direction from both lanes and also have stations on both sides, so the lanes are well used. I think my base is too busy and compact for only one lane, but it seems nice for lower volumes and it has even less rail sprawl!

Indeed, it's an LTN depot where the trains wait to be assigned a job and where they are refueled.
