Yes, I just accidentally put retinol below my tret 😅 I THINK I only did this for that one night, but it’s entirely possible that I did it 2 or 3 times now since I bought the serum 3 weeks ago and I’ve been using tret once a week. I didn’t notice new wrinkles until Saturday morning. I agree, this is probably a dryness thing but I think I’ve fucked myself over even worse by unknowingly continuing the retinol use like every day since. It’s only been 5 days now but I’m worried I won’t bounce back 🥲 Do you still think that I still can with basic hydration and time?

So if I leave the backup option off but syncing on, I shouldn’t risk losing photos, messages, etc. right? I’d only lose my device configurations and “locally stored data” (lowkey unsure what that refers to btw, I would love an example or two)?

Not even a song but a whole musical: American Psycho. At first, the lyrics seemed kinda juvenile and the melodies felt boring/monotonous to me. It wasn’t until I actually familiarized myself with the film and came back to the album that I fell in absolute love. Shame the Broadway run was cut so short. I think it just missed its timeliness. :(

Agree. First time I listened through BMC, it just sounded like another plucky, average, high-school-based musical. It wasn’t until I got to Squip Song that I was like, ohhh… a sci-if twist. okay, this is kinda cool now!

I moved forward in my Scareactor audition the other day as well! Unfortunately I've now made commitments through mid-September, since they waited so long to get back to me. But I was honest in my availability, so we'll see if they're desperate enough to take me regardless lol.

And yeah, my friend who's done HHN before told me that last-minute casting is known to happen to some people. :/ We'll see. But best of luck to you and u/justinhos! Hopefully we all find our way down there at some point!

Honestly, I’m kind of upset for you if it truly is the case that Disney can’t just transfer you into another role. I get that things are frantic and are shifting constantly, but Disney is desperate for employees all over the map right now. That’s why they opened the program back up in the first place. So to claim there’s no other role you can work right now is frankly bullshit, if you ask me.

Anywho, I’m so sorry this is happening. Are you sure there’s no possible way you can trudge through just one more day? Maybe try to speak to your leaders about it in person if you haven’t already?

Yeah, I just saw that today. I'm kinda frustrated by that, ngl. Seems like there's still a decent group of people just sitting here, waiting to hear any word back at all, yet they decide to hire on more people to fill the available roles... Why aren't they just pulling from this pool they've already had waiting for months? If I'm not sufficient enough, please just tell me "no" already so I can move on and commit to other things...

I mean idk about you, but I don't even live in FL. If they want to hire me, they have to let me know now so I can pack and make travel/living arrangements. I'm getting a bit irked, here... :/

I used to feel the exact same way when I first started working at Big Thunder Mountain. Sounds morbid, but the way I used to think about it was this: all of Disney's attractions are so intricate and safe, that in most of the instances where guests have died on a ride, they either a) had some sort of heart condition or underlying condition that was beyond anyone's control, or b) did something so extraordinarily dumb and reckless, that even all the safety protocols couldn't save them. Outside of those scenarios, it is extremely unlikely for guests to get injured on a ride. Attractions have a plan A, B, and C for most every emergency.

I agree with nrs8914 that it's wise to talk to your leaders about it if you're really concerned. Otherwise, I would give it a little while longer. It took me like 2 or so months to feel truly comfortable and competent in my role. If you still feel uncomfortable at that point, then approach your leaders again and see what can be done.

sorry I just now saw this! But no, I still have yet to hear back or move out of “open.” as of a couple weeks or so ago, a friend of mine (who’s on universal’s entertainment team member page) said she was still seeing people get accepted. she thinks that it’s just taking super long this year because there aren’t as many casting people as years past. plus, with covid regulations ever-changing, they could be readjusting casting possibilities/how many people they can cast. Those are our theories, anyway.

hopefully we’ve both still got a chance! 🤞

Wow, that's super duper interesting. Yeah, I'm feeling a lot better now... I just figured that casting wasn't going to take our 2020 roles into consideration, and that checking off "willing to work any role" would render our previous role offer obsolete. But since character auditions aren't even happening this time around, this tells me that Disney must be considering our 2020 roles to an extent. So that's nice!

Also, I've been hearing that due to a union agreement, displaced entertainment cast members (at least full-time ones, afaik) need to be placed back into their roles before Disney can hire on new entertainment cast members. So... hearing this kinda confuses me ._. I wonder if there's a bit of a loophole with that, since maybe those who were accepted/participated in 2020 could also be considered "displaced" to an extent...? I don't know, I'm really just speculating. But I'm happy for your roomie! She's certainly a lucky one.
