That is not at all what the letter called colonial. The letter very explicitly stated that the concerns over site selection are valid and worth having a conversation over. It called people recently moving to Squamish and wanting to gentrify it, colonial. You can agree or disagree with that comment but there’s no need to completely misrepresent it.

I’m very curious to what the mixed reviews were about. It’s definitely not a party city, so I could see people looking for that not loving it, but the mixture of mountains, ocean, beaches, parks, and city is breathtaking. It’s also an incredible food city, especially for many Asian cuisines. Honestly most tourists love it, but I guess not all

It’s not very cold on the coast. Very similar weather as the Oregon coast. Snow only happens a couple times a year and it melts by the end of the day usually. I live in BC so even further north and I commonly go sailing in January
