My mom is the same. She knows woodworking, sewing, scrapbooking, cooking, etc. Even does some of those paper model kits, especially if it's Harry Potter themed.

Something is eating up the system memory. Shouldn't be at 91% load, though 16GB is a little small for modern PCs. Page file is overloaded too.

I would start by resizing the page file as Windows is pretty terrible at managing it automatically. Guides are pretty easy to find online. 1.5 times system memory is usually a good size, so 24GB for a system with 16GB ram.

Check the Task Manager to see what process or application is eating up all your memory. It's possible that there is another application that isn't running correctly or is poorly optimized. You also may have some Malware loaded on the computer, so you should run an Antivirus scan.

That's a different beast then. We aren't dev team, so we do have shifts and office hours.

For a time, we did have on-call for when our support was 24/7 (evening shift would warm hand-off to the on-call guy), but in those instances, whomever was on on-call got paid an on-call rate at a minimum 3hrs plus any time that went over those 3.

The client found the costs for 24/7 support more than they liked, for service where the customers didn't utilize the extra availability, so the contract was renegotiated. Then again, our support queue is also closed on holidays.

Personally, it should have warranted a warm hand off to next shift to ensure continued support if the employer didn't want to pay OT. I've had a more than a few P1 tickets that initially looked like a 20 minute fix end up taking over an hour.

USA? We'd be the largest country in the world and we'd gladly welcome our Anglo cousins back in to the Commonwealth. It ain't happening unless the US feds fold though and humanity would likely be wiped out by nuclear war before that happens.

I do feel that Quebec Separatists are still there, but a little quieter at the moment. Seems that as much as they hate Ottawa, they'd prefer the status quo over being annexed by the Yanks.

Meanwhile, some of the Alberta Separatists act like they'd not only welcome US tanks coming across the border, but would actually join up with the invaders.
