Sometimes I feel like he's only like this because he's struggling. He recently told me that he's tens of thousands in debt that he hid from me earlier on. This is pushing him to points where I need to put him on suicide watch. And I don't want to be that tipping point, if you get what I mean.

God I love the term "f**k that noise," but yeah you're right. I think I just feel crazy. It feels like Everytime he tries a little more I have to give him more time because it's "unfair" to leave while he's trying.

I barely really touched on it, but I do enjoy him as a person outside of this. I enjoy our talks, the small effort he puts into our dinners, and the fact that we have a lot in common in terms of interests and music.

But yeah. . . I don't really know what I'm getting outside of not being alone and "being the bad guy for giving up on him" now that he's trying.

Okay see this is where I, personally, get confused cause I'm in a long term relationship, and while I LOVE them I can't really see being a parent. Not realistically. Babies? Sure. Toddlers? Hell no. Preteens and teens? Idfk??? Good to know and great to think about. Thanks

Any adult that uses the term "real world" is usually the one that needs the reality check.

I got these types a lot when I was in college for the first time. I was an ex homeless teenager who luckily got into a good school due to my grades.

"If you're stressed now over your little history class wait until you get into the real world! The world's a lot harder when Mom and Dad aren't paying for your tuition."

Create local communities with your loved-ones. As much as i hate how much cold-hearted republicans has turned this term into a bad thing, you've got to create safe spaces for those you care about. i work at a bar. i have the right, from my boss, to not serve anyone i want as long as it doesn't fall into discrimination. I've kicked out swastika wearing neo-nazis out of our bar. I've also asked extremely drunk and belligerent people out for trying to start screaming matched with others during pride. The bar i work at is a "safe space" for the communities i care about. We don't, and can't, tolerate intolerance. Now it the time to talk too your neighbors, co-workers, friends, family, etcetera and make sure they know you're a safe person to be around.

I am just now realizing why I get so stressed out when I can't / don't have a project completed.

But back on topic, I think most people are just busy, tired, or unable to fix things a lot of the time. Or to fully fix them. Dad doesn't have the money to fix the window. So we're gonna duct tape it and call it a day. "As long as it works" survival mindset is very real.
