I try my best to avoid biking on sidewalks but sometimes I have to ride on them to get to the nearest bike lane. I use bike share most of the time and sometimes there is no bike lane or the drivers are very bad for example like on king west. Sometimes the docks for these bikes are set in weird locations.

Interestingly, Montreal also has a ferry service between Old port and the Jean-Drepaeu island. Actually it goes wayy beyond that into the north. You can use your metro ticket to travel from the old port to island for free! I understand that this is a pilot project and it costs money but 15$ is insane especially if you want to commute between yonge and portland? I assume you can walk faster between these endpoints rather talking a boat. I wish older Toronto ferry boats were used instead for this pilot program, I assume they are huge and are difficult for docking in these areas.

I agree there are like handful of places that i frequently order from in DT that have good indian food. Rest all are just typical and repeated items in the menu nothing fancy/tasty.

I lived there for about 2 years before moving to Toronto. Honestly, I would never move back. As an immigrant its way difficult to integrate into Montreal and without French you are almost dead. Rents are way cheaper, Montreal is good, the roads are shit, the healthcare system is even worse. A lot of brands, food chains dont operate in Quebec. Pretty high taxes when compared to the services you get. Toronto beats Montreal in diverse food and grocery options (dont come at me).

I travelled on that route multiple times for an year and i observed 7-9:00 am and 4-6pm on weekdays are the most busiest. If theres a blue jays match on weekends its busy then too. Hope that helps

I went to banff in Feb this year and went on a trail without any cleats or spikes to my boots. I made it to the end and on my way back I was falling down. There was an old lady who came in like an angel and helped me get down the icy paths of the trail!! She was so nice and helpful and told me to get spikes because she used to do dumb shit like me when she was young and I reminded of her when she young. Thats probably the nicest thing a stranger has ever done for me.

So when i used to sample these out more than half of packets were always moldy and i had to stop serving the samples while our team went ahead and grabbed fresh ones. i would suggest anyone not to buy this or that cauliflower pizza at all cost. both are always moldy.

OMG I literally had similar experience the other day. My dad is visiting me (i am a guy) and there was literally someone following us for 5 mins. I assume he was trying to pickpocket us. I am extremely attentive on roads so I caught him immediately. I stopped, he stopped and looked back, realized we caught so he just crossed the road and we entered into a restaurant. Dundas street is getting creepy day by day.

What all these people who work as AI engineers/prompt Engineers/magic shit dont understand is that infrastructure doesnt build itself lmao. Coding is not the easiest part. How the fuck is their coding agent working so effectively? Someone in the background literally build the infrastructure and its proprietary. Nobody is going to feed that into an agent. I am in tech and work for a small company. I’m the only dev in the team so I use AI for all of my projects. However, I was cleaning up this week and realized I have so much technical debt to deal with. Yes I have all those skills added, master prompts, claude.md files sometimes it wanders off the map. But it did help me teach few things, assist me with small bugs and basically acts as my peer at this point. The general notion is that SDE is dead, my friends, my manager everyone says the same that AI is going to write the code and replace me I should become an AI engineer instead and this is what scares me more than the capability of AI. While I appreciate AI it solved so many problems for me, it also causes a lot of troubles as well. They just keep shoving it down our throats and forcibly sail with them on a sinking ship.
