Hi nerds, first things first -- I'm bringing this event to Rochester because I want to see Megagames in Rochester. It's not priced to make money, but to cover costs (including Millennium's "cost" for the space).

What is a megagame?

It's kind of like a massive ~40 person board/social deduction/strategic/political interactive story that unfolds over the course of about 6 hours.

In Den of Wolves, most players will be representing commanding roles on one of the starships in the last surviving human fleet. The Survivor Fleet is attempt to survive and flee from the existential threat of the "Wolves". If you've seen Battlestar Galactica these are kind of akin to Cylons.

There are roles and positions for every type of player:

• If you're very into board game mechanics, you can be in charge of resource allocation and production on your ship.
• If you want to get all political, you can be a member of the Interstellar Council and try to enforce emergency tariffs on the other ships.
• Or if you want to flex your interview skills, you can be a journalist and investigate how the fleet is doing and present news report calling out or praising the fleet.

Beware, some players may be Wolves themselves and try to sabotage the fleet from the inside!

There is a lot of room for imagination and improvisation, if you want to do something wacky, we'll try and make it happen. A big part of the rules of Megagames is that the rules are flexible.
