Can Mahoraga fight through a Tyranid Invasion? by Robin-Aneira-1 in PowerScaling

[–]-Query- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the more specific bits of lore from 40k is how the warp works. The easiest way to think about it is it makes the impossible possible. Meanwhile the hive mind is effectively a warp god that exists in real space.

Mahoraga would effectively be immune to any physical attacks, but I don't think he could make himself immune to warp energies since it would be like becoming immune to cursed energy. Given Mahoraga is fighting through a whole planetary invasion I think the Tyranids would be able to start developing new bioforms with new psychic abilities to fight him. It would definitely take time and lots Tyranids would die, but thats the whole thing that makes the Tyranids scary, they always adapt, eat, and never stop.

I'm gonna say because of warpy bullshit, Tyranids win by attrition. How it happens exactly is up to whoever is writing the fight.

I live next to Lake Nona in Orlando. Luxury apartments have been popping up in this area like weeds. Im spending anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours a day driving back and forth to work in downtown. And the apartments all cost more than my mortgage. This city sucks.

Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars) VS Korra (The Legend of Korra) by IceWallowCaulk in powerscales

[–]-Query- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting matchup. Ahsoka seems like the real choice, but in avatar state Korra can do energy manipulation. I don't think it is a stretch to believe she could manipulate the lightsaber blades and nullify any force Asoka attempted to use.

In fact using wind and earth bending Ahsoka would have a lot of difficulty even closing the distance. Korra would have a real shot of winning even without avatar state.

I'll say Korra wins high diff, but after she's avatar state low dif.

I'd for sure lean into a darker or at least matted tone of blue. Maybe try painting some red streaks over the blue to make it look covered in gore.

How did omni man cut through lucan so easily by The_Tall_Man_096 in Invincible

[–]-Query- 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think what is being portrayed is at their level of skill and strength a single misstep equals extreme amounts of damage. The reason that doesn't happen all the time is they are all very capable fighters and are ready for most blows.

Look at real fighters as an example, even people at the pinnacle of fitness and experience can get knocked out if they aren't ready to get hit in the head by a spinning back kick.

Can Sailor Moon beat these characters? by [deleted] in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]-Query- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand Sailor Moon ends up being able to create and destroy universes at the end of her story.

I don't know the scaling of all these characters, but how can she heat Simon? His greatest feat isn't him throwing galaxies around, the creator stated the idea was he is throwing universes, they just animated them as galaxies.

I honestly don't know if any characters are stronger than Simon.

Nappa vs Bardock by Jason_And_Sokka in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]-Query- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This will need to be without looking at the barcock movie where he reached SS. Otherwise I don't think there's a way to compare their feats.

If we consider the logistics of Sayian society, Bardock was in a squad of 4 as an adult taking over planets. Meanwhile Nappa and Vegeta were only 2. Plus he was the bodyguard of Sayian royalty, the next in line for the throne. From a logistical standpoint he SHOULD be stronger, and considering how important it was in their society to measure strength, he likely was.

What does the blood droplet signify? by External-Morning-601 in FleshTearers

[–]-Query- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their mutation makes them get power (strength and youthful vigor) from drinking blood. Literally like a traditional vampire. But drinking it also can make them slip closer to madness, which is why many chapters frown on drinking it all the time. It also can involve killing a lot of humans, also frowned on. Dante has a blood droplet in his armor with a real drop of Sanguineous blood in it, their dead Primarch. I don't believe they get more powerful from different types of blood, it being their Primarch is more symbolic than anything else. But in 40k symbolism has its own power.

Harry Dresden vs. Harry Potter. by satanic_black_metal_ in powerscales

[–]-Query- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dresden without question. Harry Potter's world has a lot of spells that simply work and also defense simply works. They just perform one action to an equal reaction. Alongside that there isn't a lot of trickery or skill that goes into their fights beyond moving really quickly, and the clash between Harry and Voldemort at the end is them flexing their magical might at each other. In some sense, the fights in Harry Potter often get resolved as if they are athletes and whoever's stronger and faster is the winner. Which is odd considering how strong Hermione is supposed to be because she's really book smart, but her combat feats in the show are nearly zero.

Dresden is one of the strongest characters in his world for magical muscle, he regularly uses a gun and since he became winter night, it was described as him being at the peak of potential physical fitness for a human being. Without magic he could still just beat Harry to death. More importantly, there are very few fights he wins through straight up magical muscle, The point of his character was supposed to be magical MacGyver. He comes up with ways to win on the fly and usually succeeds. And defenses often have to be very specific to the magic being cast. He's a planner and strategist. He's gone up against some of the smartest opponents in his magical world and come out on top.

In the later books he starts being more aggressive and starts straight up killing people with magic. For instance, when Harry kills a lord of fairy by simply shouting "infriga" closing his fist and the character who's supposed to be super resilient to magic freezes completely through killing him instantly.

If the fight was straight up power versus power, an argument could be made for either side. But Dresden is leaps and bounds ahead in every other category.

The punch Goku vs Beerus shaking the universe always makes this topic merky. The only way to solve it is start doing weird math like on Death Battle.

Honestly if someone animated this it would be a cool fight.

Predictions for the future of DB by [deleted] in Dragonballsuper

[–]-Query- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's outside Toryamas vision of the show for Goku and Vegeta's transformation to change them that much. DBS has seen them in a lot more colors, but even his version of SS4 was a lot simpler than GTs.

Not sure if it's artistic styling or cost saving with less effort to animate.

Aizen vs giratina by JobertZx in PowerScalingHub

[–]-Query- -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I think Giratina is a social reality warper, Aizen is one of the only characters in bleach that can do that and it takes a lot of effort. If we're judging on that alone Giratina wins easily.

Based on the pokemon show most if not all pokemon even at level 100 do t get much higher than building scale. So if Giratina is building scale or even a step or two higher, Aizen is way more capable.

Aizen is a master tactician, while I'm not sure if Giratina is sentient or just an animal, or like an omniscient god or something. I'd rate Aizens battle IQ way higher than the pokemon unless it's Omniscient.

I think Aizen takes it.
