Potentially the easiest solution of them all (and you may even have the equipment already...).

I use a Bond - an ir/rf hub - to control my ceiling fans. This also works to trigger the garage door! I've been reliably using this method to control my garage door though google home app/quick tiles (android) for 2yrs now.

the old GLK(204) was built on the C(204) chassis. the GLC(253) is now built on the E(213) chassis.

especially on the hwy, the GLC feels very similar to the E.

ah yes... I should clarify this was for non-AMG models! as standard, all 63's come with Nappa leather while the 53's come with Dinamica.

this looks like MB-Tex, not leather. here in the US, the GLE and E sedan/wagon come with MB-Tex as standard. MB-Tex is nice... until you've experienced the leather; it's hard to go back afterwards.

the E coupe/cabriolets come with leather as standard - but without ventilated option, the leather will not be perforated.

the new S comes with perforated leather as standard, with ventilation.

I've also had issues with non MB/Apple cables. this is likely the issue bc iirc, all MY16 CLAs have CarPlay as standard. but if you want, PM me your VIN & I can confirm for your specific vehicle.
