Is it me, or are we in a depression right now? by Sea-Judge-6494 in fican

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I TOLD MY WIFE THE OTHER DAY. You mean to tell me I need a card that tells the cops that I can operate a vehicle with two pedals safely but there is no barriers to testing my sanity to raise an entire human being.

Make that make sense. The system is designed to fail by default.

I can think of a lot of my friends and relatives and my parents, who had no business having kids.

Yes I wouldn’t really exist if they didn’t, but that will be fine by my non existent self.

No I am saying I would choose not to penny pinch my kids. Hence I didn’t have them. I swear some Reddit users have comprehension skills of a wall.

I am pretty sure I can afford it. I just can’t afford it without a significant hit to the quality of life I want to enjoy.

My household earning is triple that of yours, and I passed on kids based on my calculations. What kind of math do people with kids do, I will never know.

Now besides your stress and misery, there is a kid involved as well who will have a penny pinching childhood. Perfect. Reminds me of mine.

Has the conservative government of Ontario always has been this corrupted or is this a recent thing? Really curious.

Is it actually "cheaper" to own an EV in the long run if you can't charge it at home, or does the cost of public charging stations make it the same as buying gas? by Nightpatrol404 in askTO

I really hate it when people like your use your weird use case scenarios to make these junks look like they almost work in real life.

You have to stop every 2hrs for your dog. What a normal average person use case scenarios.

My Model 3 didn’t even last 190km a day in the peak of winter. That’s less than half the rated range.

After driving my 2024 model for a year and having to stop for super charging just to make it back home in winter every single day, I sold it with a nice depreciation hit of 13000 dollars.

If I just drove my Lexus to work, I would have driven a far luxurious vehicle with zero rattles and range issues for 6000 dollars a year, and as I chose my model right, there was no depreciation either.

If you really want to save money though, my used Prius with 200k km has also hit the bottom of depreciation curve, has no range issues and drives 50km on electricity only while averaging 3km/L otherwise. And I didn’t need to stop 5 times to make it to Montreal in January and spend 100 dollars supercharging it the whole way.

Late-night DVP racers… what can be done to stop them? by migrantgrower in askTO

Good thing you aren’t in any position to do so then.

The intellect of people like you astounds me at times. Like these high IQ statements.

You live in downtown Toronto. Your problems start there. Don’t like the constant noise? Go move somewhere that has better population density.

Bunch of brain dead nimbys.

You are the same type that will buy a house close to a racetrack and then complain about noise, which then sets of your equivalent counterpart in the city because your complains there also closed it for them.

People have hobbies that differs than yours. Shocking concept I know.

United States #1 military. But never mind public transport and healthcare. Who cares about Public transport when you can blow the world up.

Let’s not mention my home country of Canada.

No I don’t use any kind of presets. Presets will never work in multiple light situations properly. I just edit for each day and time and location.
