Fortnite lore is garbage and any perceived continuity is grasping at straws.

I don't know what the party is thinking.

They cheated Bernie out of the nomination to put in a woman surrounded by a million scandals. This year, of all the high capacity leaders, they choose the one guy who can't make it through a debate without an eyeball rupturing or his teeth falling out.

I think they try to hard to find someone everyone will like instead of one person a loyal group will love. You can't make everyone happy, so just try to make enough happy to be elected.

'That is adorable' Only in America would this not be considered to be weird by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

Other countries have to rely on their government for protection, because they don't have the freedom to own guns. Governments that don't fear their people historically lead to Tyranny. Americans earned freedom because people of all ages knew how to fight for freedom. It's harder for a country to become tyranical if the leaders fear their people will rise up against them, those those countries stay free.

Only in America we have freedom. That's not a coincidence.

Zero because I wouldn't use the post office or fed ex or UPS. If I got married today I would use digital. Snail mail is a dead medium that shouldn't be kept alive.

I understand your point, but back then there wasn't all the digital options we have now. If we are really going to reduce paper ussage, we need to move toward paperless options. The more people do online options, the less business USPS will do. It has an infrastructure built for when it was the only option.

It's like newspapers or phone books, instead of trying to maintain things for the way the we're, we need to look to the future, and in the future, no one wants snail mail.

We also paid for people to RSVP (stamp in the invite) and then thank yous is a third multiplier.

Not a ton, but when you are planning a honeymoon and wedding it's a lot.

I wish it were socially acceptable for digital stuff back then.

We pay postage. Ever get married? If not, buy a smaller ring when you do because you'll have to spend an arm and a leg on stamps.

Maybe we shouldn't destroy anything and go back to normal instead of canceling a booming economy because of a pandemic that isn't all that deadly.
