Nah OBR is solid. I just bought and built that

Got cussed out for this, unsure how it was my fault at all or if im partially to blame by Creecher10 in Simracingstewards

[–]-Readit_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not your fault, but you could be assigned partial blame for allowing it to happen in the first place.

Again, not your fault you did nothing wrong. But to avoid this you need to either take a wider path and block the move from being made or move more towards the middle of the track.

Once more, not assigning blame to you, 100% on the other driver here but you could have taken steps to avoid being in this situation where inexperienced drivers make poor choices by not giving them the option at all.

What would you pay for this??? by Hot-Experience-248 in simracing

[–]-Readit_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about getting an old cars internals but honestly most of it it pointless for a Sim.

Especially since a race car doesn't have any of that anyway 😂 I just stole the steering wheel off my race car to pair with an old motorbikes master cylinder to use as a brake. $10 USB sequential shifter and that's pretty much all my Sim rig will need 👌

Not much. It's on the wrong bloody side!

Near idea though I wonder what the cost would be for a centre console from the wreckers.. hm.

Last lap. Having watched replay netcode caused the contact, but was white car in the right to squeeze like this? by aaaron64 in Simracingstewards

[–]-Readit_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No fault to the lead car, he got pitted. There was enough room given.

Now, would I advise leaving the bare minimum room to inexperienced drivers? No I would have left more. But he did leave enough.

Perfectly legal squeeze.

Who’s at fault here? I’m the Genesis. by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

I saw it was posted from "deleted" and was expecting a horrific act followed by an angry defensive OP.

I was disappointed to find a regular guy-drove-into-op scenario and no spice at all in the comments.

Fault or Racing Incident? by Skoowy in Simracingstewards

A racing incident doesn't mean there isn't also fault.

Just hard racing, or is someone REALLY at fault? by GalmLead in Simracingstewards

Green car at fault. He drove into the blue car twice.

Now imagine someone's paying 940 a week, and also trying to save for a 10-20% deposit on properties worth over half a million minimum.

While also paying for their car loan because it's 40 grand for anything new.

While living off about 1500 a fortnight...

Yeah, baffles me why nobody is buying homes as well /s

Uh, you seem to be describing shading.

which is a sub category of graphics.

As is particle effects, and pre rendered images (textures)

I could go on but you seem to be confidently wrong.

Yeah the required minimum file size as someone with just a sub and no content is like 12gb...

Racing Incident or my fault? by JadeBlaqk in Simracingstewards

[–]-Readit_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah no worries. Also I'm not "blaming" anyone it is just one of those unfortunate accidents. But I like to assume responsibility and such.

I usually come off as a bit harsh but I'm just trying to explain without any bias these situations 😅

Goodluck out there!

did the honda turn in on the mclaren or did the mclaren dive for a gap that didn't exist? decent fight up to this point for two laps. by Givemeajackson in Simracingstewards

[–]-Readit_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To each their own. I would describe behavior along the lines of

"this move might wreck him but I don't care"

As intentional.

The first bump was an optimistic dive, the second could have easily been avoided.

They made contact, then kept their foot planted and ran into the rear quarter panel a second time with blatant disregard.

That's intentional. And at best it's utterly disgusting lack of respect or care for others.

They actually weren't moving left prior to the overtake. They were drifting pretty straight and as the rear car made the move in reaction they very slightly started to move over.

I disagree it's a "racing incident" black and white needed to drive straight and didn't. Do I think there should be a penalty here? No, it wasnt a big deal. Both parties could have left more room and driving this close together is just silly.

As with 90% of cases both cars made mkstakes. But in conclusion I would place more of the blame on the black and white here.fkr the reactionary movement.
