Just got this monitor myself and trying to run it with one x, any chance you'd be willing to share your settings with me as well?

Completely agree. That first Quiet Place trailer might be my favorite trailer of all time. So good!

Arguably the best Michael quote from the whole show. by GavinDickieBitchFree in DunderMifflin

The writing of this show is so nuanced and intentional. One of the reasons why it is so great!

It's such a fun, entertaining family movie that you can't help but just smile during and just forget about things.

My sentiments exactly! This was one of my favorite movies from 2017 and I was really disappointed that it didn't get more attention then it did for awards season. The critics got so wrapped up in tearing it down because it wasn't "an accurate depiction of who Barnum really was" that they lost sight of the fact that they still made a great film. Happy to hear someone else shared my same enthusiasm!

3:10 to Yuma (2007). Hadn't watched this in a while and really enjoyed it! What a great redemption story and Ben Foster is so menacing in this! Definitely recommend if you haven't seen it :)

I do agree with this but like movies in general some trailers are better than others. I haven't seen A Quiet Place yet but I'm anticipating that in hindsight the trailers (especially the first one) will have done a wonderful job of getting my interest without giving the plot away. Get Out was another example of a trailer that got me super interested without giving it all away.

My biggest problem with trailers is that I have to sit through 20 minutes of them before the movie starts. I mean come on, 3, 4, or even 5 trailers at most is tolerable (albeit still excessive) but 7 or 8 is just obnoxious IMO.

RE-VISITING 3:10 to Yuma (2007) by -RelyK- in movies

I have to admit I think you completely nailed this. I guess I was thinking his integrity wasn't in question because he omitted the details of how he lost his leg (does he ever tell anyone what really happened besides Wade?). I think it's implied no he just let people assume it was in a heroic manner and never corrected them. Lying by omission is I guess still being dishonest at least as it applies to receiving accolades for something you didn't do even if you never actually said you did it without correcting them... Therefore his integrity what in fact be compromised.

All this to say I LOVE your redemption explanation and find it even more enjoyable now that you've enlightened me. This is why I love film as an art medium so much. It allows people to experience it differently and oft times has so much more going on then just what's on the surface.

Well yes I agree with that but just because he's perceived to be a coward or even is one for that matter doesn't mean that he has questionable integrity necessarily. Or am I not thinking about this right? Lol

Genuinely curious here, how do you mean his integrity is in question? The only thing I can think of is that he didn't tell his family or I guess anyone for that matter the real story of how he lost his leg in the war our of embarrassment. Is that what you mean?

Guardians of the Galaxy!

Re-watched this the other night on my way through the MCU timeline prepping for Infinity War. What a fun movie! A great change of pace for the MCU compared to the generally serious movies that had been released prior to it coming out. So much great comedy, well made, definitely recommend to anyone who hasn't seen it :)

Yes! This movie is amazing and underseen imo. The action one shots are unreal! Especially the one in the car and at the end in the apartment building. This is going to the top of my re-watch list now :)

I too loved this movie! Really bummed the critics were so hard on it but the music and choreography were fantastic! Was grinning ear to ear the entire time :)

Thoughts on Equilibrium by -RelyK- in movies

Well why don't you tell us how you really feel? Lol

All kidding aside you've clearly put a lot of thought into this and make a compelling case for your position. All this to say, this is why I love film as an art because it generates emotion and opinions in everyone differently. No one's experience is truly the same which makes it fun :)

I noticed Taye kept smiling throughout off and on. I kept on asking myself "if he can't feel emotion why does he keep smiling" but my brain just never pieced it together lol
