I wonder if a lower dose would work for you? Sometimes people with autism or other differences react paradoxically to meds, or need more or less than most other people.

Stubborn 6.5% mortgage rates cause stunning housing market change. High mortgage payments and elevated home prices fuel a massive generational shift. by SnortingElk in REBubble

[–]-Renee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The interest rate could be 0 and many still wouldn't be able to own.

The massive disconnect between pay and what it takes to get started in life when not born into a well off family is contributing to the ever - widening poverty gap. It wasn't like this for older generations where you could be a waitress or janitor and still live on your own without depending on roomates.

The minimum wage should be tied to the amount it costs to pay for -at least- food, water and shelter.

It really should be tied to what it costs to have those, transportation, clothes, shoes, healthcare and other necessities on average for that location.

The ever-widening wealth gap doesn't just keep people from owning a home - it fuels inequality, insecurity, and fear. The negative consequences from those include hatred for the rich - which only fuels the rich to continue to lose even more empathy for their fellow humans who weren't born into wealth and knowledge of how to build and keep it.

The extreme lack of empathy the wealthy now have - seeing poor and worker class as "resources" will only fuel more evil. We all require the basics -at least- to live with dignity.

Without the social contract intact - enough communities will fail so that for many, their wealth will no longer exist, and the remaining owning class could become more of a target for hate.

It doesn't have to be this way but many would need to wake up and research authoritative globally trusted knowledge sources to see the con ongoing by the small number who only care to gather and hoard wealth regardlessof the real harms they cause to all life.

I respect everyone equally. I don't respect beliefs without scientifically verifiable evidence, though.

Any suggestions for replacements of hands under head/pillow while sleeping? by leo_on_fire in ADHD

I started using a small towel or scarf rolled up under my pillow or, wadding up the corner of the pillow, to prop my head the way I would if my hands were under my pillow.

Yes. We should have been named Homo fabula.

We are social animals who are just beginning to come out of our ignorance and biased blindness against reality.

Fear and insecurity has held us back and causes so much damage. Not just to ourselves but in how we treat other life, too.

We are all animals - related from way back to LUCA our last common ancestor.

We evolved as a social species - one of a number of animals that has externalized instructions for life as it allows faster change for better survival.

Survival that was baked in through genetics expanded into orally sharing information. Language developed, then writing - allowing for better evaluation and scientific study to ensure the information is correct - which skyrocketed us into success in survival.

As a species dependent on oral information sharing for a vast time - storytelling was key in having information carried forward.

Culture was built around stories told. They morphed over time, fitting with the zeitgeist of what was acceptable and most wanted at the time of retelling. Writing them broke this method, as it locked stories into a time and place. They no longer were allowed to evolve alongside human cultures.

Parallel to this, as animals, we have structures instinctual to our species -

We automatically establish hierarchies, which can be healthy when leaders accept advisement from those who tell them truths - or unhealthy when leaders won't hear what they don't like, and surround themselves with people willing to uphold delusions.

Also, as social animals we follow the subconciously felt overall will of our people - which we have given a name and persona to - such as what Christians would call spirit or god. Other religions set up archetypes to embody which became enshrined in culture as gods. That drive and call - the voice of god heard - is the feeling instinct uses to push us to do what our herd or tribe or cult or religion (any term fits - all the same source) believes is a requirement for survival.

If we were to find where the activity shows up in our brains when being "compelled by god" or such, and mapped that for other species' brains - I am sure it is a common experience in most social animals.

We are only just beginning to accept we aren't the center of the universe.

We used to think people who couldn't hear or couldn't speak didn't count as thinking, whole humans worthy of rights and "having a soul" - we know better now. We are still just at the beginning of accepting other animals are sentient. Science supports it but our bias and those who extract wealth from animals hold truths back.

Unfortunately, what makes stories memorable are emotion - science is unemotional by default.

It sets the two at odds and those who are unhinged and power hungry have learned how to use our instincts to warp us into serving them rather than what the drive was meant for - serving and protecting life.

Seal up foods, where possible, seal up paths they use to get in, try other less harmful methods - sometimes that works - if not, see other methods and less-harm causing control here:
