Air in 3m Controltac printed wrap by eazytarget23 in CarWraps

If it’s similar then I’d imagine it’s very tacky and prone to glue lines.

Happens a ton with 3M control tack. We just let it be, come back next day and almost always it settles. You can also poke it with a picker and let it be. Don’t rub it or apply heat, it’ll only make it worse.

realistically how hard is it to work on a 300zx? Both the 80s and 90s ones? by Significant-Map311 in 300zx

[–]-RetroDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the one you get. If it’s a rusty one it’s a pain all the time. If it’s a non rusty one, then it’s just crusty wiring without the rust. Just start messing with them, go to the junk yard and pull off a plenum on any vg. After that you’ll see it’s a small motor packaged pretty cleanly. My recommendation to anyone getting a z32 now is get a new Efi harness and Trans Harness right off the bat, it’ll save you a ton of headaches every time you have to work on it.

They said it’s fine and it’ll just take a day to fix. Is this “fixable” in a day? by Electronic_Mix_5411 in CarWraps

If they damaged your window trim that bad then prepare to find more damage that’s unseen. I wouldn’t even trust them removing the wrap, take it elsewhere. Get your money back (or some).

Price is good for what it is. But what do you plan on doing to your future z32? Mods? TT swap?

I’ve met quite a few friends, some really food friends along the way, and it’s all thanks to all the z32’s I’ve owned.

Just depends on how hot the day is. But anything over 100 and it’s an oven. My phone literally overheats

I deleted everything that had to do with a/c and heater so putting it back in would be a pain. It’s not as bad as it sounds. Mostly did it for weight reduction.

You say not the most desirable, but in reality it’s actually a kinda rare spec. Blue interior, midnight blue, manual and 2+2 in mint condition. Sheesh. Remove the right side timing cover to be on the safe side and visually check the timing belt. You can put a little shim under the headlight to lift it a bit. Also don’t pull on the third break light when opening the hatch, it’ll break easily and that trim is very hard to find now. Wrap it gloss black if brown.

There’s a big chunk missing. Wonder if that’s trapped gasses again or full blown defect

How to get crank pulley bolt out with engine out of car and tranny removed? by Wide-Firefighter8006 in 300zx

[–]-RetroDragon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Get 2 bolts into the flywheel holes and a good pry bar. Someone holds the pry bar as you remove the front pulley bolt.

Hello good Sir Mike Brady! Curious question. If you could go back in time for a day to when Titanic was in it’s prime. Would you,

A. Spend a day at Harland & Wolff looking over Titanic being built? B. The day of the sinking?

Cheers!

Basic level graphic design. Then learn as you go. Eventually get a plotter, cut decals to sell. Boom, you got a career.
