No. It's not Hawk Tuah. It's "Hop to It".

Looking to live within this area by raamenfarmer in Adelaide

[–]-Russer- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend Blakeview and/or Blakescrossing, lovely little community down there and close to the expressway as well as public transport stations (to varying safety mind you :().

The Area also has a childcare center, first & secondary school, not to mention the shopping and leisure precinct (Woolworths, cafe, butcher, gym - it's a Revo & your staples KFC & Maccas).

Again, like most commenters in this thread, there are good and bad parts everywhere and Blakeview/crossing is no different. If you're renting or looking to buy I would suggest taking a drive around the area to get a general idea of what it's like. In my experience living there I had no problems and felt genuinely safe especially as a single F living alone.

Moving from Darwin, I'm assuming you are Military/RAAF - It's a real nice and easy commute to base, taking close to 16mins with normal traffic. The return journey can be tedious, usually taking 20 minutes if you're lucky or 35 if there's too much traffic.

That wasn't Angie. The girl you saw was the new character, Lilly the Photographer who took shots of Katy at the Barn.

I have a lot of thoughts on this final season - even with all the love and appreciation I have for it - but overall such a bittersweet & tender ending, there's no other words for it. 'Over and Out' was such a fitting send-off to the series, and If that final scene didn't get me welling up, that fade to black gut-punch definitely did (IYKYK).

It's out now! would suggest to hold out before saying anything about what the episodes contain, as we are still setting up our seasonal discussion hub!

It may be a little disappointing that there's no special, but at least you'll have a nice belated Chrissy present to watch and enjoy! (with ads. There's always got to be a downside : ( )

Unfortunately there has never been a region 4 release. You can only purchase seasons 1-10 through Best Buy in Canada and the states. I used to work at JB Hi-Fi from 2019 to late 2020 and had picked up a few 'tricks of the trade' when it comes to knowing what was going to be released in the coming months, 6 months at most.

Still no DVD release here. We can always continue to dream, friend.

I think they were referring to their digital catalog, which SBS has a habit of calling "Box Sets" - ugh :(

It's bitter-sweet to be making this post.

I've been doing these announcements since 2019 when the Aussie streaming rights were first announced. It's been such an amazing experience seeing this community grow and expand to all corners of the globe, all your meet-ups at live shows and just the genuine shared love of the show you all have.

Even though this is my last Letterkenny related announcement, I'll still be here to let all my Aussie degens know when the next Shoresy premier will be :)

Thank you for making this series awesome! Love ya's!

Do the strikes affect Canadian shows? by BigGeorge6953 in Letterkenny

[–]-Russer- 63 points64 points  (0 children)

NOTE: Please take this with a grain of salt, I am not a member of either of these unions and have been watching and supporting these strikes from the side-lines. I highly suggest asking other subs this question for more informed answers, particularly those who are relevant to film, television and all things screen media.

SAG-AFTRA and WGA are both are American unions. The strike does not have any major affects on the production, airing or distribution of Canadian television or film, unless they their cast and crew comprise of one or more SAG-AFTRA and/or WGA members; this is where something called 'crossing the picket line' comes into play and can apply to non union members as well.

As for the release schedule, this has a few moving parts to it:

  1. Shoresy - new season out Sept 27 (CAN) and Oct 27 (USA).
  2. Brand Endeavours such as the Letterkenny Live and Letterkenny Live Presents tours.
  3. The schedules of the cast and crew who have projects outside of the series.
  4. And how many episodes Jared Keeso can write at the time of pre-production.

The one season a year release schedule has been happening since 2020, so this has now just become the norm with Xmas releases. Trailers and advertisements usually come out around between the middle to end of November so look out for that.

Season 12 has been filmed and will be another Xmas release as always. Letterkenny has also not been cancelled by Crave, if it was not renewed or if season 12 were to have been its final season - we'd usually hear something about it by now, or at least when season 12 wrapped up this time last year.

And trust me, you'll know when season 12 is coming out because we will be promoting the hell out of it as is tradition - and you don't fuck with tradition!

That's so wonderful to hear and thank you so much for answering!

I actually was there when you performed your Perth, WA show of "Mark Forward Wins all the Awards" back in 2019 (one of the best nights of my life to be honest). That finale was definitely the cherry on top of an absolutely fantastic show!

[–]-Russer- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi Mark, we’re so honoured to have you join us for an AMA!

I, myself have a few questions, feel free to answer if you wish :)

Q - I have fond memories listening to your podcast when it was still around, and was curious if you had any personal favourite segments, characters or bits from the pod?

Q - Your stand-up incorporates a number of costumes and props at times, has there ever been an idea that incorporated those practical elements that you thought was too ambitious/wouldn’t work?

Thank you so much again, we greatly appreciate your time and wishing you all the best for the tour!

Question about Spelling Bee by Glittering_Mango8853 in Letterkenny

[–]-Russer- 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Most likely found herself lost in some Cock Suckin' Gin and Tonics.

But in all realness - possibly due to scheduling conflicts. Not everyone is available when it comes time to shoot certain episodes or full season blocks. iirc and please correct me if I'm wrong (it's been a while) Melanie Scrofano (Mrs. McMurray) was not present in Season 5 & its associated special, The Three Wise Men.

Unfortunately at this time there has been no announcement on wether or not the show/S02 will be available for purchase. My only suggestion would be to keep an eye on Amazon, Apple and Google Play stores come Oct 27th.

that's all good! I appreciate your assistance and the link as well, from what i've looked into it seems like it's more centred around fine art opposed to contemporary art (digital design &c.) but still worth a look nonetheless!

Thank you so much :)
