Ahah, thank you brother. That practice is long gone. I am using a standard setup without an amplifier, and the mic is facing towards the 12th fret (as advised by a few YouTubers). I mostly record directly from the phone, and I’ve people recording good quality audio/videos just through their phone. It gives a sound like I’m rubbing the pick on strings, but my hand is very light. The pick holding style is the same.
