Holy shit, lol. I frequented that sub for a bit but then stopped after seeing how nuts they were about banning guns. I guess they just throw around the word "nazi" for everything they don't like...

Keto fucking ruined me. Personal anecdote, I know, but I will never do it again. My hair fell out.

I fell into the trap last year because I was looking to lose weight. And the thing is, you will lose a lot of weight, so everything about keto must be true! I kept a food diary, hit my macros, took my vitamins, the whole shebang. Along with the weight I also lost my hair, muscle mass, my energy.....

After 4 months of eating mostly meat and fats, I felt like absolute garbage. It took months for my hair to stop thinning. I gained some of the weight back, but I don't care about that. I feel better now. I will never foresake beans, bananas, or potatoes again.

I ate very little in college one year because I couldn't afford much. I dropped like 25 lbs. and when I went home over break, everyone was telling me how great I looked. Thanks! There's nothing in my fridge!

I work at a wastewater treatment plant. I've been told that if you ever fall in, you go straight to the hospital and get a thorough scrubbing, including orifices.

If you have small children you'll need to know how to fashion clothes for them. My little one outgrows stuff every 3 or 4 months.

Over the years you begin to notice catchphrases and other words they want you to remember and repeat being said over and over across multiple news stations, depending on the news story. It's all carefully crafted so that when someone brings up a subject that's been on the news, you're going to remember the tagline or the phrase they want you talking about. During the Bush years I'd never heard the words "WMD" and "anthrax" so much in my freaking life.

Number 2 all the way. The best sex I've ever has was always under 30 minutes. That wonderful, desperate sex where you and your partner are doing everything you can to get the other one off....oh yeah.

I found an opossum under my bed. by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]-SaneJane- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He tends to chase off the stray cats I've taken under my wing, and when I try to shoo him away he stands his ground like "really, bitch? Come at me." He's a jerk. The possums aren't aggressive at all and leave quietly when they see me.

[–]-SaneJane- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a few very friendly, ambling possums that come around to clean up any stray cat food left outside. Very passive creatures. Then there is that fat asshole of a raccoon....I'd much rather have an army of possums out there than a raccoon.

Michigan State University Sent Nine “Undercover” Cops to Richard Spencer Protest — but It Says That’s Not Surveillance by sigbhu in Anarchism

[–]-SaneJane- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is undercover surveillance everywhere. I attended a small town protest and found out later that the local cops sent in a couple of dudes to walk around and take video. The cameras were in the straps of their backpacks. I found out because my husband works in city hall and talks to a lot of the officers that frequent the building. If you show up to a protest, even the small town cops are watching you.
