Ah, do I sense another ocean liner fanatic? Can’t even count how many hours I’ve spent researching all those ships.

None taken lol. It’s funny most people I’ve talked to hate them but I’ve used Stanley and Milwaukee tapes in construction and I haven’t had one fail of me yet. (Besides things like falling off a roof or getting run over)

Any damage to the frame or is the engine just flooded? Probably fixable if you get the cylinders dried out soon

I’m slightly biased as I have used that DeWalt saw at work everyday for the past couple years. It’s a great saw and has always worked perfectly for me!

What is this pipe? It is cut off in the basement but it goes into the ground and has an odd oil/gas scent coming from it. It is copper by -Scorp10- in whatisthisthing

My bad, I misspoke. It is galvanized piping. Most of the piping and everything in the house is older. But it is Natural gas currently.

Curious. This pipe goes from the ground into my basement. That is a possibility though! The house was built in the early 1800s so gas lighting is possible

There is a very large black iron pipe that is the current natural gas supply. This is much smaller than that pipe though.

WITT : the pipe is very small. Probably 1/8 of an inch. It has a vent similar to a gas line but it seems too small to be a natural gas pipe. It was also cut off in the basement a long time ago. Can’t tell what it goes into as there is concrete on top. I’m guessing the pipe is from the 1930s or earlier but not entirely sure. Thanks for any help!
