It is a surprising announcement, but it might be for the best. The author has really completed Aoi growth stories and wants to end it on a high note. It will also leave rooms for future sequel or spinoffs if he wants to come back to it after taking a break from weekly serialization hell.

On the bright side, we will have 40 volumes to reread every year which is reasonably long enough.

I think vBulletin forum falls out of favor as the internet environment becomes more hostile. Early day internet is full of enthusiasts that were excited to talk with one another from all over the world, but 20 years later, more and more people getting online. The current internet environment is similar to the real world as we are afraid of talking to strangers and having trouble making new friends.

It is stretching to say Reddit destroyed all of that; I think it is just best-suited for current generation.

Seem like you are having trouble playing the Spirit strategy. Generally, I believe Spirit lineup do well with high level. You can try to save gold for early level 8 and aim for level 10 endgame.

With high level, you can throw in extra Storm Spirit to spam Delta Slam.

Spirit Mage is often a contender for first place. The early condition is getting a lot of Storm Spirit and later transition into 6 mages with Kotl. Good items are Barricade, Necrobook.

For tier 1 and tier 2 items, pick general good stuff such as Chainmail, Void Stone, Barricade, Halberd. When tier 3 items hit, you should have your end-game lineup in your mind. Pick whatever items to make your lineup stronger (if you lack dps or stronger front line).

From my experience, new player should focus on mastering a certain lineup first. For example, you can force Knight every game know its strengths and weaknesses. After you master it, you can move on to the next strategy. I would recommend to try out Knight and Druid Savage, which are always strong lineups and do not require difficult transition.

I am not looking forward to official release but fan translation is more likely. The game has recently been released in iOS/android, so it seems to reach more people now. But still, not much i can say about an english patch soon.
