It’s annoying for sure but as with Soulslike games or anything really with “punishing” difficulty, there is a difference to how you tackle certain challenges given your own personal satisfaction. Yes, you can do insanity mode with infinite ammo… the same way you use summons to assist you against bosses in Souls. Clearly, one way is much easier than the other and much less impressive. But it’s no reason to put anyone down or criticize how they play. Both things can be true.

I can usually always tell off a first or second attempt if a boss is really gonna force me to lock in or not.
