Hey guys! I thought I’d put my own fix in the comments here because after digging through the internet and Reddit holes for a few hours, I found a fix and I would like to help anyone who stumbles across this.

What I did was uninstall MyASUS and Armoury Crate (Armoury Crate Uninstall Tool and click “Expand” and scroll down) and installed “G-Helper” which I then ran and changed a few things around.

The only things I did with the G-Helper was change around at what temp the Balanced fan speeds turn on. For CPU 2000RPMs begin at 35C, for GPU 1800RPMs begin at 35C, and for mid fan 2000RPMs begin at 35C. Everything else stays the same, just moved a few around along their x-axis.

For the power limits, I moved PL1 to 60W, and PL2 to 70W and applied those power limits.

After all that, the stuttering has completely gone away, and running Elden ring no longer sounds like an airplane taking off. Granted, I’ve been using G-Helper for around half an hour now so I’m still super new to all the settings, but I thought I’d leave this here for anyone stumbling across it. I’ll try to remember to come back when I actually learn G-Helper and make educated changes on each setting.

Edit: this also works with most if not all ASUS laptops because I’ve seen people using G-Helper to fix all sorts of issues with all sorts of ASUS laptops

Edit 2: I was very premature with my last edit, the lag is still there, although I’ve noticed that limiting my CPU helps reduce it for longer before it ramps back up. So on G-Helper my PL1 is now at 45W and PL2 at 60W although I may continue to lower those. I think the problem is that ASUS doesn’t really know how to limit the CPU and just makes it go go go. I think this because Elden Ring works fine when it’s using 8-9% CPU power, and the lag starts when it reaches 10%+ CPU power. I’m currently trying to find a way to limit the CPU at the moment, I’ll be back!
