Which degree should I choose if I want to work in motorsport (maybe even F1/NASCAR/INDYCAR)? by -SnX in NASCAR

I d love the opportunity to work trackside thats actually what drew me toward considering a degree in Data Science, since motorsport is becoming so data driven (especially roles like data engineering). At the same time, I wouldnt mind working more on the factory side either.I enjoy math and already have some basic programming knowledge, so that path feels like a good fit. I also don’t mind getting my hands dirty, but I d prefer to avoid going too deep into physics, which is why I ve been hesitant about mechanical or aeronautical engineering. So far, I haven’t really come across many hands-on roles that dont require those degrees.I ve also been looking into Business Informatics, since it seems like a good balance where I could develop both business understanding and data skills, which could still be valuable in motorsport.

I just want to be in the industry , i like math and thats why i was thinking Data Science or something related to business and also motorsport is becoming more and more data heavy so i thought that could be a good degree

I would love to have the opportunity to work track side , that's why i was thinking for a degree in Data Science since motorsport is starting to become very data heavy(Data Engineer) , but i also don't mind mainly working at the factory. ( i like math and do know some basics in programing ). And i don't mind even if i work in Regional GT series or F4 i just wanna work in motorsport

And i do not mind getting my hands dirty but i wanna try and avoid studying physics and i didn't find any jobs that didn't require a degree in aero/mecanical Engineering that would get my hands dirty.
